I think this place was recently bought out as Dr Albano is close to retirement. When I went, it was clearly a mess and in transition. I was a new patient and the hygienist had a lot of issues taking the x rays. At one point another hygienist came in the room without wearing a mask. Saw a few other hygienists walking around the halls without masks on, so COVID or patients are not taken seriously at all here. This was extremely annoying, especially since my mask had to come off so I could have my teeth examined. After almost 30 minutes of x rays, the doctor took a look at my teeth and said "

Dr. Albano was extremely disappointing. First, she had terrible bedside manor (condescending as stated in a previous review). I was quoted $350 for the work done. This was an estimate as she did still need to bill my insurance but I left with the understanding that if the balance was different it would not be by much. I then got a bill for a remaining balance of $650! She billed my insurance double what we had discussed for a procedure she told me most likely would not be covered. I called to complain but the biller did not help so I did not pay with plans on disputing if she tried to put me in

Highly recommend!! Going here was honestly the best dentist experience I have ever had. Dentist appointments make me anxious and the staff here made me feel so comfortable. My teeth are also so clean and they didn’t hurt my mouth at all. Very very impressed and happy I found them! Also it is so nice they have hours where I can make an appt and not miss work! (Open late Tuesday’s and the 3rd Saturday of every month)

I went to Dr. Albano with a cracked tooth that had previously been filled. Dr. Albano was empathetic and professional. She took the time to show me the extent of the damage; i feared i would loose the tooth because it was a pretty significant crack and small chip. Dr Albano agreed that this was a possibility, especially when she removed the old filling. Then she carefully explained what she would do to repair the damage and, hopefully, save the tooth (no guarantee). I appreciated her honesty and I am happy to report that, with only minimal discomfort, I still have my tooth thanks to Dr. Albano

I went to Dr. Albano for about 4 years. I finally got fed up and changed to another dentist.
The dental hygienist was condescending and misleading. She would tell me about various cavities I had and proceed to belittle me about it. Dr. Albano would come in and say how great my mouth looked, and never mentioned a single cavity! This happened twice, and finally I decided enough was enough.

I feel kind of stupid reviewing my dentist, but once the Yelp itch starts, you can't get relief until you review every damn place you've ever been to in your life. I mean, for hell's sake, I once reviewed a Time and Temperature sign in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Anyhoo...I've been going here for five years, as long as I've lived in Lakewood. I got a crown four years ago that has never given me trouble, a historically good sign that you have a solid dentist. And I even heard her complain to me once about dentists that pile on unnecessary services. So that's pretty cool.
