Open Arms Lutheran Child Development Center
Our greatest gift is to be able to share the love we have received from Jesus Christ with the children in our care. We view our role here at Open Arms as a sacred trust given to us by the families we serve. We value each child as a unique and special child of God - full of curiosity, love and untapped potential.

Choosing a childcare facility is one of the hardest decisions a parent must face. Open Arms provides a warm, peaceful environment with Christian values and a well-rounded faith-based curriculum that nurtures self-esteem, emotional security and independence. We consider it an honor to partner with you in a spiritual, social, emotional, physical and academic development of your child.
Services
At Open Arms we want our children to know and understand that they are part of a larger world. God stepped out of Heaven to walk the earth with us, the baby grew into the man Jesus who took all of our sins onto Himself. Jesus subjected Himself to death on the cross because He loves us. He loves us so much that He would rather die on the cross for our sins than live without us.
Infants' capacity to learn is present from birth. Infants learn about their world primarily through social contact. Every infant is an individual with a unique temperament. All infants possess a set of skills and abilities which change with development. Although the rate, pattern and quality of development vary from child to child, all infants progress through similar stages of development.
Open Arms has three Preschool classes, one that is half day and the other two are full day programs. The Half-Day class has an expanded program, including a Spanish curriculum and a Promethean Board, which exposes the children to learning through technology. As children continue their experience at Open Arms, new considerations are given to their increased attention span, activity level and need to satisfy their curiosity.
Positions for GA Pre-K are first offered to the current families in our preschool program before opening up enrollment to the public. This usually occurs in January - February of each year and the current families are given a two week period to enroll in this program. During this time, we will accept public inquiries and email information with registration instructions.
Throughout the week we offer extra-curricular activities such as Amazing Athletes and Teaching Little Children Ballet (TLC) for your child to enjoy. These activities are usually for children ages 3 years and up. Amazing athletes is the premier year-round developmental sports and physical fitness program.

Open Arms is truly the best daycare for so many reasons! The workers truly LOVE on your child, they have excellent protocols, detailed and caring administrative staff, VERY CLEAN, and their hours are the best. I reviewed and toured many daycares, and I immediately felt the difference at Open Arms. I felt like I was like our baby girl with family, rather than an outside caretaker. They are the best kept secret in Alpharetta, and I few extremely blessed to be so close to this facility. Ms. Eugenia, Maria, Betty, Adriana, Laura, Melody, and Ms. Barbara are all SO kind, thorough, and wonderful. I love

If you are looking for a safe, clean, friendly, and loving preschool you have found it. The staff is attentive to their students needs and truly love taking care of and teaching their kids. Class sizes are small, so your child will always have the attention he or she needs to thrive, learn and grow.

All 3 of my children have had the privilege of being loved by the staff of Open Arms. They have been nurtured socially, academically, but most importantly spiritually. Wednesday chapel is always a highlight of their week!!

If your child has a special need please don't bother to take them here. The Director didn't even look my son's paperwork to even know he had special needs, even with me telling her. This is supposed to be a safe place to bring your kids because it's in a church, but unfortunately it's still wasn't the best choice. The director waited to things got worse with my son instead of calling me so I could talk to my son before things got out of hand. The director called me stating - Your son can't come here anymore. All because she didn't look in his paperwork to see how to help him. He has a special need

Divorced parents that didn't enroll the child into their school are not treated fairly and with respect. Your looked upon as a threat and treated as so. They also lie about not teaching a religious curriculum during the times 8-2 Monday- Friday for Pre-K. The children are constantly bombarded with religious talk by any and all teachers. Can we just have the children learn their ABC's, take naps and color instead of Jesus talk 24/7? I get it... It's a Christian school but they have guidelines to follow by the state.

Both of my children attended Open Arms. My son is on the autism scale and they were very supportive of his needs. When the school system dropped him off at the wrong daycare on the first day of school Open Arms not only let me know he did not arrive as he should have they called around the area and found him and picked him up. They love all the children in their care. I was very happy with my children's care while they were there.

I really wanted to like this school. But, I have a very disappointing experience. I was hoping to get my 4 year old into the pre K program and my two year old into the toddler room. I’m glad I did not enroll my two year old ahead of time. Total waste of time and energy. - they misplaced my information yet they were telling me for over two months that they would call me back, and never did. When I finally call back and ask then to confirm my contact information to make sure they had it correctly the lady told me they didn’t find it and It was probably shredded after the initial contact which

I love this school at The first second when I stepped in. The environment is nice and clean, the playground is huge, the staff and teachers are nice and caring, and the tuition is competitive. My daughter used to have severe separation issue and had been to two schools before we went to open arms, but she just cried for 3 days in this school and she was fine and love this school now.
Everyday I enjoy she shareing her school life with me and feel her progress. Miss Alba is so kind and caring. I am so grateful I can meet her and enroll in this lovely school.
