We opened in 2009 when we noticed a need for a team-oriented salon in Baltimore which would allow for exceptional style and customer service in a friendly environment. By collaborating with each other, we are able to offer you the best style experience imaginable. I started coming here soon after I moved to Baltimore in 2016 because I heard from a friend that they would be friendly to my trans partner. They always have been, and I have never had a haircut here that I regretted. All of the stylists are genuinely friendly and care about what they do, and I have also felt incredibly safe here throughout Covid.

I have had my hair cut and styled by Autumn twice now, and I will be her loyal customer as long as I possibly can! The whole staff is great, and Autumn is an incredibly talented stylist. I have gone to most of the salons in the Hampden area, and have never been so happy with my hair as I have been at NV.

My 11-y-o son hasn't had a professional haircut since before Covid and was suuuuuper excited to get a professional haircut! When I called NV, where I go for all my hair needs, to explain what he wanted, Sara at the front desk immediately thought of Kaley and she did not disappoint! Kaley went out of her way to check in with Graham multiple times throughout the cut, she listened to him as if he were an adult, she was meticulous, she made him comfortable with her age-appropriate conversation...and the haircut was fabulous! We could not have had a better experience!! Although I did have to watch

I had my first appointment here today with Autumn. I am very picky about my hair and am always trying to find a new stylist--I have yet to see the same one twice! I am anxious about haircuts but was wonderfully greeted by the owner, Nikki, and Autumn when I arrived. I felt extremely comfortable in the space. It has a great vibe. Sarah gave me a wonderful shampoo and told me that Autumn cuts her hair, too. She was super comforting and kind! And then when Autumn came back out, I got the best haircut I've ever had in my life. Autumn is the only stylist with whom I have ever made a second a appointment

I am a happy customer. I've been going to Nikki at NV for several years and I love how my hair looks and feels from her cuts. I also really appreciate her guidance on how to cut and style my hair. She and her team genuinely care and listen. They make you feel taken care of and spoiled, from a happy face to welcome you upon arrival, to hot tea and pretty silky robes. They even have a step stool to put up your feet while you're getting your hair washed. The salon itself is stylish and adorable with an open brick wall on one side. It's a great location on 36th Street in Hampden. There

I've been going to NV Salon for a few months now and feel like I've finally found "my place" in Baltimore. Nikki always listens to me and gives me super, natural-looking, and easy-to-maintain cuts and colors. Today, Autumn did the color and Nikki did the cut and I left feeling refreshed. I'd highly recommend this salon for excellent quality and customer care.

Autumn is the best! She's been cutting my husband's hair for about a year and he's been telling me to go in to see her myself for a while... today I finally did, and I am SO happy! I go to salons pretty infrequently because I often leave having been overcharged and disappointed with the results. Autumn was very attentive and made sure she new exactly what I wanted every step of the way. She did a cut and color for me that was exactly what I wanted, charged very reasonable prices, and I even got a compliment on my hair from a complete stranger after leaving the salon. Everyone at

I have been coming here since they opened and I won't go elsewhere! They listen to what you want AND how much time you are willing to put into your hair, and then they offer suggestions. You call the shots and they make it happen. I have NEVER been dissatisfied. Nikki and her team are fantastic (knowledgeable, efficient and friendly)! I love Nikki and her team!!!

Best haircut ever. The staff are caring and professional. You feel like you are among friends. I recommend Maya. She is an artist! Maya is a good listener who will assist you in being the best you can be. Her coloring skills are second to none. No matter your age, you will walk out of NV looking like a million bucks!

As I've gotten older and have less hair to work with ( I grew up sporting super long hair) it's great to have someone like Nikki who knows how to cut it to look it's best, and to not have to get it recut every month to stay looking good. If you're a guy who tends to just go to a barber shop, but not super happy with the results give NV Salon a try.

If I could give negative stars... I paid $59 for Miranda to half-curl my hair today. It took her 45minutes.
I wasn't excited about arguing with them so I paid with no tip and left. I re-did my own hair at home for the formal event I attended tonight.
In sum... they didn't deliver and they weren't worth the bother to argue. I would have maybe paid $15 for what they did to my hair... bad service.

I had come here once before in a frenzy needing to get my hair cut that day. They took me as a walk in and gave me a cut that I loved. The lady that cut my hair no longer works there, BUT I went back yesterday (also made an appointment with a day's notice, I love that they are so accommodating) and had a haircut with Maya. She is a DOLL. I showed her pics of my hair and she was genuinely excited to do it for me. I thought she might be apprehensive at shaving the back of my head, but when I asked if she minded I got a, "No way, let's do it!"

I have come here twice now to see Maya--the first to get a fun haircut and the second to get ombre color. I loved that she could practically finish my sentences, knowing exactly what I was trying to convey that I wanted, and let me tell you I have never been more IN LOVE with the results of getting my hair done!!!
Maya's work has completely surpassed my expectations. She really listens to you, works with a lot of passion and pays great attention to the details. And she is just as excited to see the end results as you are!

Went with the recommendation from my boo, who gets his haircut by Britney. I've had long hair for about 10 years now but was itching for a change. I wanted an asymmetrical LOB aka long bob.
First of all, this place is awesome because you can make appointments online. Secondly, Britney is so super talented and cuts hair in that exact style you envisioned in your head. Amazing! Probably the best haircut I've had in a long time, and I had been to Sprout and similar places before for a while.
Referral program also gets you $10 discount. This is now my go-to

Bethany puts so much thought and effort into every hair cut and color and highlighted strand in my hair.
