Abby is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and certified Personal Trainer with a special interest in patients who are into sports, performing arts, and fitness. ADVICE FOR FUTURE PATIENTS: Consider your physical therapist your movement system consultant. Be ready with questions, be prepared to problem-solve, and stick to the plan.
Working together virtually means we get to assess what is going on while you are in your own space, with your own equipment and instruments, and we come up with solutions that you can do on your own. You get an email summary of each session so that you feel confident in your plan of attack. It also gives you the option to easily "bring" your teacher along to your visit if you'd like to go with the team approach!
I've just started working with Abby and she is great! I've been having all kinds of weird pain and vocal issues (I'm a professional singer/voice teacher so this was a problem) that stem from an ankle injury last year and having to wear a boot for 3 months. Abby did a holistic assessment (not just my ankle) and explained how an injury on the right side of my body was adversely affecting my left side.
In order to serve patients without the growing restrictions insurance companies place on healthcare providers and the coverage they provide, Forte Performance & Physical Therapy is out-of-network with ALL insurance companies. If you'd like to submit your claim to your insurance company for direct reimbursement at your out-of-network rate, please request documentation at your visit.

Dr. Abby is a PT genius. I went to her for 3 visits in total and feel better in every aspect. She listened to my multiple injury stories, my aches and pains, and asked questions about my lifestyle in general to get as much well rounded info as she could. I really really appreciate that! She connected the dots from multiple body systems, where many PTs in the past didn't, and because of that has helped to significantly reduce/completely fix issues that I've had for years! I definitely recommend Dr. Abby and will be back when I need her!

The Fortissimo program through Forte has allowed me to connect with Dr. Abby Halpin via tele-communications and help address my fitness difficulties. I have a complicated medical history (including multiple concussions) that has made it super hard to find a work out routine that does not result in injury. Plus, being a working mom, my days are quite full! I have worked with many physical therapists and trainers alike, and I have to say that Dr. Abby’s program is truly the most comprehensive and “do-able” program I have come across. Dr. Abby heard me and had a unique ability to give me high

I highly and enthusiastically recommend Forte Performance & Physical Therapy to anyone who needs physical therapy or who just wants to get stronger. Dr. Abby Halpin is kind, patient, professional, and empowers her clients to improve their recovery and performance. She worked with me on a reoccurring hip injury that other PTs couldn't seem to resolve. Abby had me climbing mountains and power-lifting in no time! She is an attentive and highly skilled PT who is clearly devoted to improving the health and well-being of others.

I've been seeing Dr. Abby Halpin on and off for a little over a year now. She's been able to diagnose and treat my injuries, as well as improve my technique and weightlifting performance. I've recommended her services to fellow weightlifters and coworkers, and they have all had great results as well. I can't say enough. She's wonderful.

I've seen Dr. Abby Halpin for almost 4 years. I've been involved in athletics competitively for 20 years, and I've done a lot of PT. I can honestly say that she is the best physical therapist I've ever seen. She has helped me rehab from acute injuries, and we've continued to work past then to prevent future injuries. I highly recommend her for any athletes looking to come back from an injury or looking to keep themselves healthy through hard training.

Abby did a holistic assessment (not just my ankle) and explained how an injury on the right side of my body was adversely affecting my left side. This is huge--most PTs go right for the injured area and don't address the body as a whole. She gave some a few exercises to start with and I was able to tell the difference in my voice overnight (literally
