Henry Felgar began a preservation process in the 1850s and also began to manufacture coffins. His grandson, Samuel Clymer Brooks began embalming as we know it today. Shortly after this time, the son of Samuel Clymer Brooks, the late Clyde Beal Brooks established one of the first funeral homes in the area located in the heart of the Indian Creek-Valley.
Our dedicated staff members are here to provide support, compassion, and information to help you through your journey of grief and the celebration of your loved one's life. Samuel C. Brooks represents the 4th generation of the Brooks Family to serve the families of the Fay-West area. After graduating from Eckles College of Mortuary Science in 1949 he became a licensed funeral director in 1950.
