Reverie Cafe + Bar
Located 1517 East 35th Street - just off the corner of 35th and Bloomington - in Powderhorn Park, Minneapolis. Reverie Cafe + Bar is also home to Reverie Mobile Kitchen, a seasonal food truck serving the Twin Cities Metro Area. Reverie offers an entirely made from scratch, plant-based menu for lunch and dinner.

We have a full coffee bar featuring all the usuals plus house made milk and tea lattes; 20 tap lines pouring local brews, ciders, kombucha and switchel; and a carefully curated wine menu. There's plenty of space to post up during the day for a casual meal and nights are pretty fast-paced, but we always find a seat for everyone by the time your food comes out!

Fabulous vegan spot. Both the Rev burger and the Long Haul burger are delicious - the best house-made vegan burger patty I have had yet. Definitely would recommend a side of the potato wedges too. For brunch, the breakfast burrito is great as are the smoked potatoes. Highly recommend!

Such a wonderful restaurant! It's the sort of place where you feel like you are visiting a specific community (one where I'm happy to live). Unlike a chain restaurant, it has a particular atmosphere that is part of the neighborhood. It's also a destination spot for fans of vegan / plant based food. Something I love about Reverie is that they seem to delight in their creations. This isn't the basic style where you used Beyond / Impossible (or, in Minneapolis it's often Herbivorous Butcher) meat as the main event. The food is inspired. It's got that something all my

We were expecting guests for Christmas who eat a vegan, gluten-free diet and had no clue what to prepare. I happily ordered the holiday meal kit, and then today learned our guests have to cancel. How wonderful that the folks at Reverie refunded our entire order! We are really appreciative and will find another time soon to support their business! Our thanks!

The food was really good, it's all vegan. If you don't ear meat/animal products then you will know the anxiety of eating at a restaurant and worrying your food will be cross-contaminated. I have gone to restaurants where you order a Beyond burger and the cook slaps it in real beef grease, that will not happen here. There is no animal products I'm building, you don't have to scan the ingredients list a 100 times because it is vegan.
I loved the Aoli it was amazing!

Non-vegan me frequently craves several items on their menu (though if I just threw a dart to decide on something I'd not be disappointed), but what I truly love about this place is the vibe, the people, and what they've given to the community during the last 2 very trying years. I meet people here. I feel comfortable here. I feel part of a larger community here.

What an amazing surprise this place was packing for me. Red Beans and rice unlike any other in the city! Delicious non-alcoholic drinks as well. Safety protocols were amazing!

The city's place vegan spot. There I said it. Highly recommend the chocolate chip cookies. It's such a communal space, love the different events and the rotating menu. I do wish there was indoor seating!

The cauliflower tacos were amazingly tasty, and the crispy tempeh burger my girlfriend got was fantastic as well. The space is beautifully painted and has a very nice atmosphere. Highly recommended to other vegans looking for delicious diner food.

How have I never been here before?????

I recommend this awesome vegan restaurant to everyone!

It's a cute little cafe that as of this posting, masks are required indoors and it has a walk up counter to order.

I ordered a porter on Nitro, the KBLT with a side of potato wedges and shared the Mac n cheese with a friend.

It was all so so so yummy! The KBLT is a handheld and it's so hearty and delicious! There's a hint of kimchi but not spicy at all, just so so delectable.

If I could eat the Mac n cheese every day, I will definitely try! It has a smoky flavor, just the right

I took my 11 year old for a little father daughter Saturday breakfast. We had the breakfast burrito, a big cinnamon roll, beignets, and a couple beverages. Our assessment; 1) loved the atmosphere and vibe of the place. Easy going, neighborhood, warm black ceiling 2) staff was pleasant, helpful and efficient. "No tipping policy with a 15% service charge and 3% COVID PPE fee. All fine. 3) Food was great. Breakfast burrito was off the hook!!! Cinnamon roll was as advertised, "unusually large" and tasty. The beignets were ok but not the "Wow" the 11 year old was expecting.

Great local vegan restaurant focused on sustainable options, we loved our visit.
Food is phenomenal and surprisingly affordable, staff was lovely, dine in are had a great atmosphere and the outdoor seating was so cozy in the fall weather. Highly recommend their Powderhorn restaurant!
Food we loved:
- Wedge cut potato fries with fresh Mojo Aioli ($6)
- we can't remember which burgers but we got 2/3 and they were both phenomenal, the horseradish aioli was incredibly rich and the bread and Patty's were delicious

The Rev burger needs work. It is like a mashed potato-textured patty with this flavor that is just in your face. I was hoping the chèvre and mushrooms would be prominent. I think I'd rather have a black bean and grain or Beyond Meat patty. The bulgogi cauliflower starter has an intense garlic flavor. That could be tamed down and maybe more Korean BBQ flavor. The atmosphere and service are great and beer selection is above average. I think this was a solid 3.5 but Yelp only allows whole numbers.

Got a great vegan dinner here. With COVID they're doing Window service only right now-- but there are at least a dozen tables in the backyard under the trees. We got this week's chorizo burger special, lemongrass tofu tacos (with the spicy sambal mayo on the side), and a few sides. Everything was good, hope to eat there again soon!

Holy yum Batman! Their breakfast sandwich (pictures) is a big portion and delicious. I prefer it without the sauce and it does get a little bit greasy sometimes but it's so worth it.

Um and their polenta cake? Out of this world! I would get them all day.

And did I mention VEGAN?! How can you go wrong?!

Amazing food. We were so taken with the food that we ate here, we came back the next evening for more. We had the fried cauliflower tacos, tofu lemongrass tacos. Their hot, chili ranch dressing has a punch. The burger was firm and did not fall apart when you'd bite into it and the cauliflower and tofu were crispy to perfection. When you are in Minneapolis, I highly recommend this cafe for everyone.

Here's the thing, I love cheese. Meat wasn't difficult for me to give up but I'm in a serious long term relationship with dairy. BUT Reverie's nachos are making me reconsider somehow? The sauce made me completely forget that nachos even can have cheese. And the jackfruit was perfect! Great texture, and perfectly spiced. I'd recommend to vegans and non-vegans alike and I'll definitely be back!

My girlfriend is vegan & I am not. This is my first vegan meal & our first time here and let me telllll you. This place is busssssin. The cauliflower wings are good, the tacos are great, and the nachos are fantastic. The portion sizing is actually hefty. I’m leaving this place stuffed. Last but not least… that chocolate chip cookie tho..back yard patio is a nice vibe

Reverie is a must do for plant-based dining in Minneapolis. It's refreshing to order real, house-made food instead of the same Beyond Improbably whatever that everyone has. Their BBQ sandwich (with a flavorful nod to the local East African community) is my favorite, but what they really excel at is jackfruit. Get it on their nachos or in the "cubano" sandwich. Hang out in their funky little courtyard and enjoy one of the dozen+ local beers they have on tap!

My brother and his partner are vegans who live in the twin cities and they're always finding a new favorite place to eat. And this is their current favorite, so my husband and I were excited to try this place with them! We all made sure to order things we all wanted to try out (and there were so many it was hard to choose.)
My brother got the Berbere BBQ Sandwich. It is "Berbere BBQ Sauce w/ Housemade Seitan, Sauteéd Peppers and Onions + Garlic Aioli on a Toasted Sandwich Roll." We all tried it but thought it was just ok. I did not enjoy the seitan.
His partner got the lemongrass

Reverie was a vegan delight! The menu is creative, and made-from-scratch. Very unique, nothing tastes the same. I highly recommend the beans and rice and the cauliflower wings. The sauces that it came with was so delicious. There was a lot of gluten free options for my Celiac sister.

Parking seems to be a little challenging, we just ordered at the counter and waited in the car.

The only thing I wasn't a fan of is the huge service fee and the covid fee (it added $10 onto my order), and didn't seem to come with any extra services and is a pretty steep fee. Still giving it five stars

As a former vegetarian I usually like plant based foods, not so here. I found their brunch selections off-putting and poorly seasoned. Prices were astronomical considering the ingredients and lack of table service. This may be a place only a vegan can enjoy. The cinnamon roll was OK, as was the coffee. Their outdoor patio is lovely and spacious. Good place to chat with coffee outdoors but avoid the food. Service was fine, though only at the counter.

I am a Dairy Princess and I love Reverie and their completely amazing vegan food.

I am not actually a Dairy Princess, and my own kids are way too city to ever compete with Princess Kay but we all LOVE cheese and ice cream and milk and oh wait, sorry vegans. I think it's pretty amazing when people can give up animal products for the better of the freaking community of earth so thanks for doing that and I will give as many of my dollars up in support to all the local tacos places I can find.

Each candy bar is to die for so definitely get the sampler pack and try them all!! Vegan and hand crafted with care, I literally cannot put into words how delicious these are. Review is preliminary as I've only visited once. I've got a very good feeling about this place, and I'll certainly be back many times to try the rest of the menu, and will update my review.

GOOD: Food is absolutely fantastic. It's been a very long time since vegan food made me feel this happy. It IS possible to make vegetarian food for meat eaters like me, and this place knows how. The bar also looks fun, and I was quite impressed with the beer menu.

MEH: Perhaps not unreasonable given the high quality, prices here are much higher than the humble hippie decor may

Minneapolis is a vegan hotspot and produces smarter, tastier and more creative food than places like Los Angeles and New York. That may sound like a bold statement, but go to Reverie Cafe's new brick-and-mortar spot and see for yourself.

This unassuming, order-at-the-counter cafe and bar is fully vegan and makes practically everything from-scratch, from cheeses to milks to meats. No Impossible or Beyond burgers. No Daiya. No Oatly.

We got the Nachos Supreme ($12) which has the best vegan nacho cheese sauce I've had anywhere in the United States in my over 15 years of being vegan. It

My wife and I live over an hour away, and we've been fortunate enough to have events take place in the area to warrant checking this place out three times recently. Since our first time eating here, we've made a point to stop here again and again. My wife has tried both tacos and the Brussels sprouts while I have indulged in the burger, the cauliflower Po boy, and the BBQ jackfruit sandwich. I must say that I have been overly impressed with this place every time. I might add that my grand daughter, who is a highly selective eater, also had the Mac and cheese and thoroughly enjoyed it.
