Minnesota native Chef Bruce Lee humbly started his culinary career as a dishwasher at Sushi Tango in 2001. Through hard work and an eagerness to learn, he moved from dishwasher to chef. With persistence and desire, in a few short years, Master Sefu and the Sushi Tango partners allowed Chef Lee to step foot into the sushi bar.
With ten years of experience as a sushi chef, Lee continues to hone his craft as Head Sushi Chef at Soberfish Restaurant. Susan Lee started her restaurant career while in high school in Wisconsin. Following high school, Lee moved back to Minnesota and landed her first serving job at True Thai Restaurant (the former restaurant in the current Soberfish Restaurant site), with no experience, but a desire to learn.

Now please don’t try to go after 8:30ish, those doors will be closed because they will be cleaned and ready to go. I digress, you will enjoy your food and the wonderful service. I love that they have plenty of vegan dishes, seafood dishes, many more.
Please take your time enjoy the sushi, the apps, the soup, and the desserts.
Ohhh I forgot they have a bar too!!!!

This place is really dope and I love their main entrees. They didn't have a lot of none raw sushi, literally just two options I believe. But other then that they have amazing customer service and most of the food items are amazing. But can't say the same thing for the sushi just cause I don't eat raw sushi.

I enjoyed my dinner at Soberfish. Came around 7 on a Saturday night. There was no wait to sit down, but there was a 40 minute wait on the sushi itself simply because so many people had ordered take out. The sushi is high quality with very fresh fish from the coast. Spoke to a chef and she mentioned their selection of sea food is never more than one day out of the ocean which is impressive considering we are in the Midwest! The only thing that could use improvement is the presentation. My friend and I ordered several rolls and they were all served on one big platter. Would have preferred separate

Good eats!
I like that the pandemic has not prevented sober Fish from still providing the happy hour menu many places have scrap their menu.
The sushi is still amazing!
My only gripe was with the Thai basil fried rice I asked for it with pineapple and tofu and I got that! That part was great.
It just didn’t taste the same as I remember from some time ago it’s like it was missing a certain seasoning so it fell flat.
All in all a great place to eat an amazing service to match! We didn’t need a reservation as it was not busy so that made it easy!
Pro: no reservation fast seating still

We went for lunch service, and the sushi was delicious. The Satay Chicken (not pictured) was good, not great. The cocktails were tasty, but very weak. And the server was absent and not especially friendly. The rice & mango was tasty. Truly, the ingredients of the sushi and their preparation are what earn the most of the mediocre 3 stars.
