Our school is run by an awesome staff of instructors lead by Chief Instructor/Owner and 7th Dan Black belt Master Wayne Jones who founded Soaring Eagles Taekwondo Academy in 1995. Our curriculum combines Taekwondo, Judo, Aikido, Brazilian Jui Jitsu, and Krav Maga techniques.
All styles studied over a 40 year martial art career by Master Jones. We are dedicated to providing a safe and family-oriented Martial Arts experience for students of all ages, creeds, and backgrounds. Services
At that time the program was called GVRD Taekwondo. We started with 9 students; three of them our own children. The name Soaring Eagles Taekwondo was coined after Master Wayne Jones read a book titled "Soaring with Eagles". He was inspired by the eagles' ability to soar above the storm, and their commitment to family for life.
Through empowerment services and mentorship to provide youth, including at risk youth, with the training, care and development necessary to embrace the future as fully functioning, successful participants in society. The mission of Soaring Eagles Leadership Academy is to provide empowerment and mentoring services to youth, including at risk youth.

Here at Soaring Eagles we can host your child''s birthday party with a martial arts flair. The parties are a fun, exciting and unique way to celebrate your child''s birth. The coordinator keeps everyone entertained while teaching cool martial arts skills. They learn confidence, teamwork and focus while playing games.
