Essam was amazing! He was great to talk to and gave me the best haircut I have gotten in a long time! I got curtain bangs and cut off quite a few inches, and he styled it so well! Definitely will be my permanent hair salon in DC now! Thank you :)

I noticed there weren't any reviews of Alexus, so I wanted to be sure to leave her some love here! I just moved to DC and am totally blown away by how expensive haircuts are here. I have a pretty basic wavy lob with no color, so I'm not about to spend $100+ on it. But also: you can screw it up pretty easily. I've been going here since 2015, and wouldn't trust anyone but Essam with my hair at this point. I went short when I first saw him, then grew it out, dyed it, and today, went red. I was scared it would be awful, but it wound up amazing, without hurting my hair or multiple sessions needed. Essam is fun, friendly, and above all amazing skills with hair and color. The shop is small, friendly, no frills, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Reasonable prices, especially for the quality. Can't recommend it enough.

Yesterday I went in to get my pixie cut trimmed by Beth, and she was wonderful! She sat with me to talk through the pictures I brought and exactly what I wanted for my haircut. I have thick hair and she trimmed/thinned/shaped it perfectly, and explained what she was doing throughout. She's also a pleasure to chat with and has an amazing accent. I love my haircut, would 100% recommend!

Fringe is the only place I'll go in DC to get my hair done. I just moved back to Missouri and I'll be sure to make a hair appointment next time I'm back in DC. Essam does a great job, and has done a great job for the past five years I've been going to Fringe. I am sure his staff do good work as well. The salon is great, clean, very open, and easy to walk to. The haircuts are affordable and the ambiance is very casual, which I love. A+. 5/5 as always.

I had a cut with Beth today and she did a fantastic job looking through the pictures I brought with me and making recommendations based on my hair type and level of effort I want to put in my hair! She was super friendly and explained everything she was doing as she did it!

I got my hair done with Reneé. She was incredible! She was really kind and didn't even complain about how long my hair is like most hairdressers haha. I got lucky and was able to book an appointment the day before, but I know that's not the norm here (book early)! Overall a great experience and I love my hair!

I've been bouncing around stylists for the longest time, never quite finding the right one. For years, I would never be completely satisfied when I left the salon - which ended with a truly horrific hair cut last year (at another Georgetown hair salon that will remain nameless). I searched around for a new salon and came across Fringe Hair Studio. I had actually known Essam from when I saw another stylist at his old salon, so it seemed like a logical choice. And, boy, am I happy with it! Essam is, by far, the best stylist I have ever had. He takes his time, does a great job, and I always leave

I have been going to Essam for my last couple cuts and have been SO happy with the results! All have been great haircuts at an affordable price (seriously, I haven't been able to find prices like this even outside the city). He is always responsive to the changes I want to make with my hair, and is honest with me about what styles will work with my hair texture. This is the longest I've ever gone to a single salon and I have no plans to switch now!

I don't have any experience with coloring services or other stylists, so I can't comment on those.

I love this place. No frills, just a very reasonable price for a good haircut. I see Essam, but usually have to book a few weeks in advance to get an appointment. They have an online booking system which is really convenient. My appointments have always started on time and end on time. Remember to bring cash for a tip, you can't add it at the register.

The only place I get my hair cut/colored! Renee's amazing!! The shampoo/conditioner they use smells wonderful. The last time I was here, Renee used the new Dyson hair dryer on me, so cool! You can call or book online to get an appointment. FYI they fill up quickly on evenings/weekends.

Note: Tips are cash only, but there's a CVS down the street where you can get cash if you need to!

Loved my experience with Stefeny. First off, she's super friendly and that's key for sitting still while someone cuts your hair for an hour!

The venue is strategically located in Georgetown and for D.C., their prices are reasonable. Everyone I interacted with was friendly. But most importantly, I loved my haircut! I have low maintenance hair and wanted long layers without the fuss. She listened to me and I was very happy with the outcome. She also took extra time to style it as I requested.

I literally cannot say enough about the amazing job that Renee did on my hair today and my whole experience at Fringe. When I entered Fringe I was shocked at how small the salon was. It had a super cozy and friendly vibe. There are only three stylists at this place and it makes it easy to connect with the person doing your hair.

Like many people, I get nervous about going to a new hairstylist. It takes one visit to build trust, but once I do, I stay loyal to my hairstylist. I did a lot of research online and finally dedicated to book an appointment at Fringe. The online system was very easy to use and you can reschedule with no fuss. The evening and weekend appointments are booked very fast, so if your work schedule is not flexible - better book fast.

I love Fringe Hair Studio. It was recommended to me a few years ago by a friend, and I have had no reason to stray since my first appointment. Originally I went purely for styling -- I have very thick and fairly coarse hair, but Renee's cuts never disappoint. Recently I have been experimenting with coloring my hair (thanks to an ever-growing number of greys), and I have been extremely pleased with the results. I have dark red hair and she matched it PERFECTLY. I mean perfect - not a single person in my life noticed the difference. I have also gone for balayage and it was beautiful.

The two things about this salon that make it five star in my book: my stylist who listened to exactly what I wished for and didn't try to up sell or convince me otherwise and A/C! Nice crankin' A/C, after sitting through brunch in a humid oven, which I suppose is a sauna.

Today was my second visit to Fringe with Renee for roots and haircut/style and I am confident now that this is MY salon in the NOVA area. I love the color of my hair and she's amazing and super talented with blow drying too. Today, I asked her to curl my hair and she did an amazing job! I loved it! Renee has a sweet demeanor and she's also a great listener. I like that I leave with a classy cut and style that is easy to maintain and grows out well.

I'm a fairly recent DC transplant from Florida. I had been going to my stylist there for years and was honestly pretty nervous to try out a new salon... But what am I going to do? Fly to Florida for a trim? A friend with consistently perfect hair suggested Fringe and Renee so I decided to give it a try!

The location is fairly metro friendly with a bus stop literally right in front of the shop! I was a bit worried that being in Georgetown it would be a little pricier than what I was used to but was pleasantly surprised to find that a wash, cut and style was $65! Not bad! The salon is cute
