I definitely want to come back to try and few more items from here because my entree was amazing. The appetizers we got were not very good, but it could have been just a preference thing. The service, and my entree made up for it though. I got the salmon and the scalloped potatoes that came with it were also amazing. The dessert menu was not huge but the lemon cake we did get was good but nothing special. Again though the service from the time you walk in to the moment you leave is spectacular and mainly the reason I have it a 4 star.

5/5 for an incredible Italian dairy free dinner!
My wife has a dairy allergy and we've struggled to find a spot that could accommodate that well.
Capri couldn't have done it better!
They knew from our reservation that she was DF, and from the start made sure to highlight the menu options that were already DF and the ones that they could slightly modify for her! They're a fully scratch kitchen so have 100% control over the whole meal.
Our server was incredibly kind and helpful, and the GM visited our table multiple times to make sure we were having a great evening.

We've gone to the Capri off and on over many years, most recently for our anniversary this past Monday. As always, the waiter was excellent, attentive without being intrusive, and knowledgeable. Also as always, we enjoyed the entrees -- my husband had the spinach ravioli and I had the salmon. The beverages and dessert were great. We were surprised that no salad was served prior to my husband's pasta entree; this is a change from times past. More disappointing were the vegetables that came with my salmon. They were extremely mushy and showed their age. I mentioned to our waiter that they

Lovely ambiance! I loved sitting down and feeling the old world feel of this place and the comfortable chairs put me in the perfect mood for a wonderful meal and relaxing evening. Service was amazing. Our water glasses were never empty. Bread was great. Our waiter knew exactly what was in every dish and how it was prepared. Our food took a little while but the owner came over and apologized and that says a lot, to me. I’m impressed that she even knew. Our food was simply delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try something else amazing!!

We came for a large family dinner and the team was super accommodating. We’d miscounted our guests but they grabbed extra seats for a party of 18. Our meal was really great and our server Hans was attentive and congenial.
I was really impressed with a sausage sage cream based pasta that was on special- a really rich and comforting entree.

The food here is great, our service tonight was subpar.
We had an 8:45 reservation, it seemed as if the waitress was annoyed from jump. Her demeanor made us feel as though she thought we were dumb and didn't belong. Including her correcting multiple pronunciations of menu items. While she may not realize it, calling people "dear" every time you say something can and did seem condescending.
At one point we sat without attention for 25+ minutes. It's not our fault if your place of employment takes reservations past close, we did not know that and we are paying customers who

I was here on a date and it was a solid dining experience. Lovely atmosphere, Good service and good food. I'm gluten free so I always wonder what my options will be when dining Italian. They have one GF pasta type option which supposedly is house made but seemed store bought. The sauce was good though. The salads were small but tasty. No GF bread options.
So overall a nice dinner, nothing I would rush back to though as there are other better Italian restaurants on the northside that have great house made GF pasta.

It goes to show a server can make or break your experience of a restaurant. Our server had zero hospitality or finesse, at least towards us. He barely acknowledged us upon arrival, didn't ask us if we were first time guests (which we were) or if we were celebrating a special occasion (which we were and I noted it on my reservation). Both of which at least tell a table you give a rip. Absolutely zero 🦊 given.
He didn't explain the menu or offer us any recommendations. He took forever (no less than 10 minutes) to bring a diet coke for my husband and never offered a refill the entire night. He

Old World New York Restaurant elegant atmosphere. Their Signature Old Fashion is definitely a treat. This time of year they have the fireplace going with real wood. The wine list has a good selection. The menu has variety, several veal dishes. Try the soup of the day. I had the veal with Italian sausage which was very good. Save room for dessert to share.

My husband and I dined at Capri on a Wednesday night for our anniversary. The parking lot was packed, so we had to park way in the back of the lot, so I can only imagine what a weekend night must be like. The inside of the restaurant is old school upscale Italian. We sat on the patio, which is very lovely and one of the better patios in Indy. There is a huge twisted tree in the middle of the patio that is home to many birds as we could hear them squabbling during our meal, but that didn't bother us. Tables outside have white tablecloths and cloth napkins, with olive oil and S&P at the

Always a pleasure to dine here. Truly upscale Italian.
Service is fabulous, from the hosts to the waitstaff.
The dining room is classy, the patio more relaxed but equally gorgeous with huge trees. And on our last visit we discovered that there is a nook outside next to the entrance that is home to a nice large table in the shade and partially covered. So if you have a small group of 8-10 people as we had, this is a perfect secluded area, like your own private outdoors dining room.
And private parking lot is always a plus in my book.
I highly recommend their soups. Yeah I know, not what you&apos

Capri is a taste of Italy in Indianapolis away from the actual country. Our foodie group came here for devour Indy and we were very happy with the experience. This is hidden away behind the Walmart shopping plaza on Ruth Drive, and it is a wonderful place that a lot of people do not know about. We were treated to a private dining room outside the restaurant that was wonderful and very accommodating to our group. The devour Indy menu looked great and was a great deal. I ordered the chicken scallopini with red sauce and potatoes. It was excellent and tasted wonderful. The tiriamasu dessert

Really great place to enjoy a fresh Italian meal! The outdoor patio is perfect for the summertime. The $9 wedge salad was excellent. I ordered the $23 Tagliatelle del Fattore as an entree and they were able to substitute the sauce for pesto. I thought it was really good. The $11 Godfather is super delicious!
The next time I'm in Indy I'll be sure to come back.

This restaurant was not even on my radar until a friend suggested it for her birthday lunch. So glad she did! The atmosphere is upscale, yet the prices are still reasonable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our group shared a delicious bottle of Amarone (a dry red wine), which paired perfectly with our pasta lunches. Our husbands opted for the pork chop and beef filet because they were a good deal at lunch prices but dinner portions, and those came with potatoes au gratin and a vegetable medley. My friend and I each got the lunch combo, which is also a killer deal. For just $12.50 you get

This was by far the best Italian I've had in Indianapolis! Our family is full of self proclaimed Italian snobs, and we all loved our meals. We started with the wedge salad which isn't the best I've ever had, but was very good. The rolls were incredible. I got the spaghetti bolognese which was incredible. My husband got the spaghetti & meatballs which was also delicious. We ended our meal with the pistachio gelato & tiramisu. The gelato was very good (slightly icy) but the tiramisu took me back to our days in Italy. Give this place a try, you won't regret it!
