Rick Rising-Moore loves the outdoors and decided that others may like to enjoy their lunch or dinner outside as well just like in larger cities. In 1986 he decided to add a few tables in front of Aristocrat Indianapolis to see who might sit outside and eat. Lots of people loved the idea. Today there are many regulations on how and where patio dining can be available, but it all started at 5212 N. College Ave.
The Oxford Room is a private dining room on the second floor of the Aristocrat Indianapolis Pub. The room seats up to 60 people and is equipped with audio/visual equipment. It has a full service bar that features 8 beers on draft. You can host an office meeting, rehearsal dinner, birthday party, wake, engagement or just watch a ball game in the bright private room.

We didn’t eat here. It’s a shame because it looks like the place would be great; however, before they opened we parked in their parking lot with the plan to shop in the strip and then eat there when they opened. One of the workers in the back chased us down, yelled at us, threaten to have our car towed and rudely asked ‘if we could read’ while pointing to the signs. We would’ve been happy paying customers, but we felt unsafe and decided to leave. How rude can you be? Ruined our day, but hope he’s happy— we will gladly be shopping and eating somewhere else today and will not ever be

We went here because my wife said she heard they had great French Onion Soup. That was confirmed! They also have delicious veggie burgers and pork tenderloin that are not just the size of a platter but also delicious. We all enjoyed our New Years Eve dinner, complete with the early countdown to 2022 hosted by Her Majesty, the Queen accompanied by a member of the royal guard. Also, the service was delightful and attentive. Definitely a revisit will be on the calendar soon!

We had the best service that we have ever had last night at Aristocrat. We were a huge table of 6 adults and 5 toddlers ages 1-4. Our waitress was so kind and patient. She took the kids’ orders with our appetizers and timed everything perfectly. She offered tips on menu items (extra pretzel with the beer cheese) and invited us back. We have always loved eating here because the food is great and the atmosphere is cozy, but last night was above and beyond. Thanks Aristocrat!

Overall: Come to Aristocrat's for a great pork tenderloin sandwich!
The good: One of the better pork tenderloin sandwiches you can get in Indy. Thin, crispy, huge, and delicious. I probably could have saved half for leftovers, but it was so good I couldn't stop eating it. Portions for all the meals are hefty, which is a good thing for a comfort food place. Atmosphere is charming and they have plenty of outdoor seating in the summer.
The not-so-good: I wasn't the biggest fan of the chips - they were too oily and salty for my liking. The service was iffy at times, where we would go long gaps without

I came down to Indy with my son and met a couple old college buddies of mine here at their recommendation.
The atmosphere was nice and they had a wide selection of brews.
The service was fair from our waitress, nothing more.
The French onion soup was very good.
One of my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the decently sized weiner schnitzel, red cabbage and potatoes.
My son enjoyed his hamburger with fries.
Outdoor dining is available and would be a nice experience when the weather is nice.
We enjoyed ourselves as it was a great place to meet up with great friends.

Pro tip, put the coleslaw in the tenderloin sandwich to add texture and moisture. Ordered online and it was ready on time for pickup. We brought it back to the hotel 24 minutes away and the food was still hot and traveled well. Pork sandwich, french dip and a reuben. All three tasted excellent and really hit the spot.

First time here at the Aristocrat. Let me just tell you!!! Walking in the door the vibe was amazing. Our server Shauna was fantastic, knowledgeable and personable. We started off with the Mussels in a white wine tomato sauce. SO delicious then then the fresh pretzel with homemade beer cheese. Then our party order the Tortellini with fresh tomato, basil, brie and garlic added shrimp to make it over the top I had the special seasoned Prime Rib.. So so good. Nachos was also ordered with house beef. My friend raved about it. Local beers and good wine made it a 5 star experience.. Can't wait to go back
