They are always super friendly, efficient, professional, they were so accommodating and I totally trust the work they do. Hammers Auto Service Shop Inc. is in association with Midwest Engine Service Inc. We are a family owned and operated business that has been serving the Madison area for over 30 years. The goal of Hammers Auto is to provide a friendly and professional automotive experience to the east Madison and Sun Prairie area.
To recommend the services, repairs and maintenance to the car owners that are necessary to maintain the vehicle in safe working order. To use only products which are safe and provide service that equals or exceeds that recommended by the vehicle's manufacturer. To service and repair the vehicles in a timely manner and to keep the customer informed of any and all changes including completion times.
Tires are the single most important safety feature on your car. They are the only thing that connects the car to the road, and life-saving technologies like antilock brakes and electronic stability control cannot do their job if the tires don't have a good grip on the pavement. As the adage goes, nothing lasts forever.

Collin and the team at Hammers made quick work of the hesitation issue in my engine which had been occurring for nearly a year. Even though routine testing showed no codes, their thorough approach got to the core of the problem. I had my car back the same day, and am happy to say it is running great. Collin was polite and knowledgeable, and I had a loaner car for the day. I highly recommend Hammers auto! Thank you.

Needed an auto shop to charge our Cruise N Comfort air conditioner for our camper van, and these were the only guys in Madison who were confident enough to do it for us. They were very friendly, professional, and got everything done in a timely manner. They even gave us a loaner vehicle to use while we waited. Would definitely recommend these guys to anyone in the area!

We needed to find a new mechanic after ours closed his shop. We decided to give Hammers a try and I'm glad we did. As a woman, I find it difficult to find a shop that makes me feel comfortable. Collin was very friendly and helpful. Prices were competitive. They have nice loaner vehicles available. Very "Covid safe". We will continue to use Hammers for both vehicles from now on!
