My 2 star rating is for the polite and speedy check in, and the fact they let us check out a day ahead. Other than that…a rather lack luster and filthy stay. Room needs major updating, everything had dirty fingerprints, dust, no base boards, and smelled like covered up cigarette smoke. I assume the price of this room, (which was way to much for the quality of the room) was for the view and the jacuzzi…ahh the jacuzzi, I was very much looking forward to a bubble bath but I felt I would need another bath after I got out of it. Not trying to be rude here but I seem to see a lot of similar reviews

I've stayed at Pointe North several times. During this slow season for the hotel, one would think that the staff would have more time to clean.
I did not set anything on the bedside table closest to the jacuzzi in room 207, and there were prints and water marks on it, which had not been wiped.
During this time of COVID, I would think cleaning would be paramount.
Also, breakfast is a joke. Prewrapped breakfast sandwiches would at least be better than cereal bars.

We stayed here in November for a birthday weekend. The price was great for it being the off season. The room was pretty clean, other than the tub. (I have worked in housekeeping with the same type of tub.)The view is beautiful. Our room was not ready till an hour and 15 min after check in. The person working the desk was kind of weird about it as well. I understand it’s hard to find workers right now tho. Overall would stay here again if the price is right

What a nice little place! Clean, good location, very comfy bed! Priced pretty good too, we came off season so that could be why. Very quiet too.

Clean, amazing view, comfortable beds and pillows. Jet tub was awesome! Seems like a great place to stay in the summer. Our room phone didn't work so I wasn't able to call the front desk to ask for amenities that we had forgotten, but that's ok.

Beautiful view, we loved having a fire in the fire pit on the beach. The bed was comfortable, TV fine. It just could use some updating. The carpet was stained, the sheets were bumpy from thread pilling, (I actually checked to see if it was sand) the toilet was rust stained. We were on the 3rd floor. No elevator for luggage. Office attendants were nice. Not a bad place. Just needs some work.

The view was great the room was nice. I just think the cleaners need to be more mindful of cleaning as far as TV and ceiling fan goes. With that said the place was wonderful and we will stay again.

For the rates that are being charged this room should have been at least half as much for what was being offered. Other than the view of the East Bay there was not much. We had one bedside table so we had to use the one chair for the dining table. The screen door to the balcony would fall off every time it was moved. There were stains on the bedspread. The mini fridge leaked water all over the floor when it was opened and took a while to cool off once we adjusted the temperature. The Jacuzzi tub was barely enough for two people. There was not any hangers for us to hand any of our clothes. The dresser

Really enjoyed this place.
Can't remember his name, but the front desk guy was very helpful at check-in and helping us find local food and activities.
We had a nice clean ground room with beach/lake view. The wife loved the juccuzi tub in the room.
Great deal for the price.

THIS PLACE IS DIRTY!!! There literally is a bath tub right next to the bed. This place is outdated. My room door is jammed and it gets stuck. You can't sleep because there is people outside in the pool or on the beach that are loud. Don't recommend this place.

The place has a lot going for it but the room was disgusting. There were bugs everywhere, carpet was all stained up and the jetted tub was full of dirt and hair. We went to the store down the road and purchased our own cleaning supplies and cleaned the whole place. There is black mold in the shower, the bathroom had a faint urine smell and there were cobwebs all over like nobody has been there in years. It needs a deep cleaning and some updating. I'm only giving it two stars because of the beachfront views. We won't be back.

Pointes North is on a lovely section of beach and every room has a gorgeous view. The staff are kind and courteous and their customer service is very accommodating. However, the rooms are old and very badly in need of an update. As long as you go into your stay there knowing that the rooms aren't perfect and are about as clean as a lake house, it's perfect and well worth a stay!

I didn't know hotels like this existed. Literally slept in the car after walking in and seeing this place.
Disgusting ESPECIALLY during covid. The health department needs to see this place. They should not be operating-ever! The room had not been cleaned in months and months....it was like a jungle of filth and bugs.
Hair of another woman in the pillows...filth/grime on the floors, spiders crawling down different parts of the wall, spider webs everywhere, a big group of unknown bugs on the ceiling crawling around, bugs in the curtains, carpet filthy with stains and dirt, broken furniture

We know things are different doing Covid but, breakfast is included and it's a wrapped cinnamon roll and coffee. Ran out of yogurt. No fresh fruit. Plus not cleaning rooms but they could have emptied the trash or called and asked if we needed anything. Nope. Was instructed not to use more than one bucket of ice. How about buy another ice machine for your guests. Paid almost $300 a night. And this will sound petty but the blue tape is still around areas that were painted awhile back plus the screen door was broke and the coffee pot didn't work and the floors were dirty. This is our 7th

They accidentally didn't have our room ready at check in, but had been short staffed that day, and more than made up for it with how kind and accommodating they were with everything else. A/c kept the place cool all day, mini fridge kept our drinks and leftovers cold, comfy bed to sleep in and the best part is the private beach right outside your back door! Friendly staff, fire pit at night, and comfortable temp pool!! Would recommend.

The view is wonderful. The rooms are nicely updated but older. The new TVs are great and really big. The beds were just ok, the sign said new beds either we had an old bed or the new ones are not high end. The kitchenette was a nice touch, the fireplace and ceiling fan made the temperature easy to control.

Note this hotel only has a continental breakfast calling it that was even a stretch.

All in all I would definitely book here again.

Clean rooms, every room faces the water and has a jacuzzi tub. Could have some updating done, but for the price in the off season, it was better than I expected. Friendly staff, and their complimentary toiletries are SOOO pleasant! A few things in our room needed to be fixed (ceiling fan didn't work and 2 burned out light bulbs) but I would definitely stay here again in the future!

I am currently here on my honeymoon. I am staying in the "Penthouse Suite w/ Full Kitchen". We are only 2 days in and we have had to call the front desk for our toilet clogging and overflowing onto the floor TWICE. Three peices of toilet paper clog up the toilet, really? Also when i arrived i noticed stains in the Spa Tub and the Shower so i went to the local Meijer and bought bleach when we got back to the hotel room i poured half the bottle of bleach in the spa tub, turned the jetts on and let it run for an hour. When i came back to it there was so much filth and black/dark brown stuff

We kicked off the labor day holiday weekend with our stay at this vey relaxing resort. Our friend made reservations well in advance for 2 families which includes 4 kids(7-11). We had 2 suites, each suite had a jacuzzi, king bed and sofa bed with a microvave and fridge.

The place looked more like a motel than a resort when we arrived and we were skeptical about what we can expect. I was very suprised with the clean rooms, attentive staff and nice secluded private beach. Special mention for Randi who helped us get a surprise cake for my husbands b'day and secretly put in the fridge.
