Medications can have affects on your teeth as well. We no longer have in-office whitening sessions. What we do is a professional strength bleach in prefilled or custom trays for at-home whitening.
Typically you won't show any signs of gum disease until you are in your 30's or 40's and men are more likely to have gum disease than women. Though teens don't typically develop periodontitis, it is possible for them to develop gingivitis which is the milder form of gum disease. Gum disease develops when plaque is allowed to build up along and under the gum line.

Everyone seems exceedingly friendly and willing to work with you. I came in last minute and they were able to fit in a series of appointments all within the month (thanks to cancellations by others or whatever else) rather than pushing me out 6 months or more like most local offices right now. They care about their work and clients and it shows.

This office was recommended to me and I am so glad it was. They are very thorough and have always treated me kindly even when ive brought my young children in 15 minutes late because I had trouble wrangling them. I have never felt pushed into any service either. One of the best dentists ive ever been to.

A friend recommended Dr. Schick to me when I decided to leave a dental practice that I had been using for over 20 years. I have been very happy with the staff and Dr. Schick. I never have to wait for my appointment. Usually I walk in the door and they are ready for me. I am always greeted with a smile by the staff members and they always ask me, how I am doing.

Took my anxious 4 year old there after having bad experiences elsewhere and everyone in this office was WONDERFUL. The hygienist was patient and kind. The dentist and EFDA were also very patient and kind and my 4 year old was very cooperative because of this. No longer scared of the dentist! Highly recommend, great place!
