Services
Dr. Dan DeRosa was raised in upstate New York where he grew up learning the dental field from his father, spending many hours at this father's office during his summer breaks. Dr. Dan completed his undergraduate degree at Juniata College, where he also met his wife, Chrissy. They currently reside in Douglassville, PA with their two children, Avery and Sydney, and 2 cats.
Regular dental visits are very important to maintaining a healthy mouth. Unfortunately, many dental problems can occur with minimal symptoms and only become symptomatic when the issue is a much bigger problem. With regular teeth cleaning and check-ups, small problems can be addressed before they turn into much bigger issues.
When a tooth breaks or has a large filling that is failing often times a tooth crown will be recommended. A tooth crown is essentially a hat that sits on top of the tooth. Dental crowns require two visits to complete. The first visit involves giving the tooth a haircut to make room for the crown. An impression is then taken that is sent to the lab and you will go home with a temporary crown on the tooth.
Root canals can be a very intimidating procedure for patients, and it seems everyone has a horror story about a root canal. While root canals aren't fun, they are not nearly as painful or scary as people believe. A root canal is needed when a cavity reaches the nerve causing the nerve to get inflamed or the nerve has died leaving infection where the nerve was.
When multiple teeth are missing, there are many options to replace these teeth and one of those options is dentures. Full or partial dentures are an easy way to replace missing teeth and regain the confidence to smile again. It can also be difficult to fully chew food with missing teeth, and dentures can add valuable chewing surface.

This was my first time at this dentist. Everyone was welcoming and kind. Karen did a great job walking me through the steps of the cleaning and X-rays. 10/10 would recommend!

Absolutely love this Dental Team. Always treated kindly! Would highly recommend Dr. Dan and staff. I live an hour north of Temple and will travel the hour rather than change dentists. That says it all!

I love this dentist office, we have been coming here for years. Unfortunately we are going to have to move on as they decided not to participate with Delta Dental. We are sad to go, but not going through the hassle of trying to get refunded.

I am more than pleased with this practice. The service is excellent! The hygienist dedicates the necessary time to each to her job appropriately. I have been able to perceive the honesty and professionalism not only from the dentist but also from his staff. The office is always clean and organized. The receptionist is friendly and very professional.

I was trying to wait out this Covid 19 quarantine before getting a problem tooth fixed but the pain got to be too much. I called the office and Dr. Dan got me in within two hours. I have been going to Temple Family Dentistry for many, many years but this is the first time I saw Dr. Dan. He worked quickly and fixed my problem. The office is spotless and I felt very safe while there. I highly recommend them.

I must give Dr. Derosa an A+ on the procedure I had done yesterday. He was excellent with the needle and with the extraction, he also made sure everything was OK before I left. He explained everything and made me feel comfortable. He also called me at home later in the evening to make sure all was well. I am very happy with the experience.
