Buying a new home or commercial property is the largest and most important purchase most of us will ever make. There are many reasons why you have decided to purchase this property. Location, size, appearance, and price are a few of the normal reasons. After 30 years as a General Contractor, I sold my business and decided to put those years of experience to work for buyers.
Nearly a year of training was put in before I inspected my first property, and now 14 years later I recently inspected my 4,500 inspections.

I sold my business and decided to put those years of experience to work for home buyers. Nearly a year of training was put in before I inspected my first home, and now 14 years later I recently inspected my 4,500 inspections. I work closely with several of the larger Mortgage Companies in Town and have a list of Realtors that refer me on a daily basis.
As a licensed General Contractor, and a Master Inspector, I feel very competent in the construction types of most Commercial buildings. I have inspected 20-acre Truck stops, Motels, Warehouses, Office buildings, and Bowling Alleys. I also provide progress inspections for new construction. While I do not profess to be an expert in high voltage or various amperage electric systems, complex refrigeration units, or very large HVAC units.
It is not uncommon for homebuyers to submit a purchase offer that's contingent on a satisfactory home inspection. These inspections aren't required for a mortgage loan, but highly recommended because they provide clues about the condition of a home. A house might look pretty on the outside, yet need serious, costly repairs on the inside.
Kitchen and Bathroom Tile - If you have a ceramic tile back splash and or tile in your bathroom, make sure the grout has been sealed. Sump Pump Battery Backup and Alarm - I can tell you from experience that this can be quite costly. The small investment of the backup and alarm are well worth preventing water damage in your basement.

This guy completely missed or looked over $30,000+ worth of foundation repairs on my home purchase. After I purchased my new home I decided to educate my self on signs of foundation settling and realized to late that the subtle signs are clearly apparent when you know what your looking for. A home inspector should not have missed these signs. Do your research before signing the papers regardless of who does your home inspection. In response to your comment Ed you did point out the garage settlement which we did get inspected by a foundation repair company and the seller paid to repair that portion

I would NOT RECOMMEND Apex Inspections. After their inspection & their $300 fee, Don gave our new home the all clear stating he found no issues. Several months after our purchase withthe heat of summer we began to notice problems with our Central Air unit not blowing cold air. It blew hot air all late winter/early spring which we needed due to it still being chilly out but continued to blow hot air eventually getting up to 84 degrees in our home on July 4.
After 3 service calls to a Comfort Air and 3 very through inspections on the Central Air unit itself, no issues were found. Thankfully one

I would HIGHLY recommend this company to do an inspection for your home. Ed is a great, honest guy. He was on time for everything and had reports finished right after inspecting. He was reliable and helped out as much as he could. I would DEFINITELY not look any further. I am a first time home buyer and my experience was GREAT!!!! Thank you Ed!

I am in the process of purchasing a home in Grand Junction and needed to have a home inspection done on it. Due to my schedule and wanting to be there when the inspection took place, I called Ed to schedule an inspection. He normally doesn't do Saturday inspections but he was very friendly and helpful and did it for me anyway. Ed did an EXTREMELY thorough inspection of the home, inside and out. I have over 30 years in the construction industry and I am always leery of how much an inspector "actually" knows, but Ed exceeded my expectations with his wide sweeping knowledge of all
