FORME Barre is a boutique barre fitness company owned and operated by Christina Schwefel, a psychologist and professor who has coupled a passion for research with her love of barre fitness to create an exercise method that is dynamic, safe, and extremely effective. Each class is led with an informed and effective teaching style that reflects the standards of our company's training and continuing education program.

The FORME Method is a dynamic, 60 minute class that combines elements of classical ballet, yoga, pilates and strength training. The class mixes intense muscle training with recovery stretching that results in a long, lean physique with gorgeous tone. Commit to 10 sessions and start seeing improved posture and flexibility while sculpting your entire body for noticeable and dramatic results.
The team at FORME believes that the combination of correcting one's posture patterns while activating (and strengthening) the intended muscle group is an extremely powerful and transformative experience. We have seen clients change their bodies not only in terms of definition and sculpting but also alleviating back pain, knee issues and neck and shoulder problems.
You can now experience a Forme Method class with your favorite instructors wherever you are! The Forme Barre virtual studio offers LIVE streaming Forme Method classes as well as a video on demand library. New content is added multiple times a week! There are full length (60 minutes) Forme Method classes, shorter workouts focused on specific body parts (Forme FOCUS), and Forme BLEND (ballet-cardio inspired) classes.
Whether you are an aspiring barre teacher or want to refine your own practice, this workshop will provide an immersion into barre fitness. This 18-hour, weekend experience includes taking classes, learning to format the essential pillars of a state of the art barre class, biomechanics and alignment, postural-based cueing, and basic musicality.
The Barre Bus was born in 2016 on Nobadeer Beach in Nantucket, MA. The original Barre Bus is a 1979 Pinzgauer, able to drive directly on the beach and offer a seaside barre experience like no other! We are available to rent for your mobile barre class: wherever you go, we go, too! Parks, Mountains, Wineries, even backyards!

Located at The Street in Chestnut Hill (near The Container Store & Legal Seafood). Easy to navigate to and accessable for those with limited mobility (a handicap lift is available). The waiting area is small (lockers are in the front and a bit tricky to lock), but the studio itself is large and clean. I took a free class during their Open House week and LOVED it! The instructor really personalized the class and was motivating and had great rhythm! She made adaptations and adjustments in a professional and helpful way.
