I would 100% recommend Nile Ethiopian . It's very authentic. The food is delicious. It was my first time trying Ethiopian food and I wasn't disappointed at all . I got the Chef's Special Combination which you can try a little of everything. I shared it with my boyfriend and it was plenty of food . I also got the appetizer sampler which allowed me to try everything they offered . I even had their delicious tea and coffee . I would also recommend trying their honey wine . I would recommend Nile Ethiopian to anyone.

Waited over an hour for food and the experience felt like waiting at the DMV. Will not be back. Food was ok but not impressed. The staff were very kind and apologized about being short staffed. If you plan to go for a cultural experience like me, you may be disappointed.

This is one of my favorite Orlando spots! I've been here a few times and it never disappoints: pre and post COVID shutdown. I am vegan myself and my guests I bring with me are non vegan. I get the Sambusas which are stuffed phyllo dough with lentils, onion, chiles, and spices. Drink up with a traditional honey wine - Tej. Delicious. (Ok the honey wine may not be vegan per se, honey is debated amongst vegans, but they also offer an Ethiopian lager which I've also had. It is vegan and very good as well). Once the appetizers are done I get the vegetarian platter (which is all vegan) and

Our group had such an amazing experience while we were visiting from out of town! Lydia was an amazing host, teaching us so much about the food and culture. So not only was the food delicious, but the experience as a whole really was the cherry on top of our trip! If I ever make it back to Orlando, I will be certain to visit again!

We brought a large group and ordered "chef's specials with lamb" for the group to share. Both the experience and the food was beyond excellent. Be sure to try their in-house made honey wine and coffee! Our waitress was wonderful in explaining the food and answering all of our questions--she made the experience wonderful. Highly recommend!

We've been coming here for years. It had been a while due to Covid, but we just returned for my SO's birthday and went with a couple friends, some who had never been before or hadn't had Ethiopian food. As always, the food was delicious. The prices here are good, the service is friendly and helpful in making choices, and you never feel like you are rushed to leave.

We always like getting one of the meals for 2 so that we can have a variety of things. The honey wine is a great drink to try too, if you are looking for a traditional drink.

I do think they may have updated the inside

Excellent lunch - we were a group of three and started with the special hot tea which had a great blend of cloves, cinnamon and cardamom. Then we had the chef's platter which came with a lot of injera bread, with two types of chicken, two types of beef, red lentils, collard greens, cabbage and the chick peas. The food was wonderful- very flavorful and fresh. The service was excellent- the server was very friendly. The place was also very cute with a lot of Ethiopian knickknacks all over plus some lovely art work on the wall. Will definitely come back

I’ve been here a handful of times… food/ drinks/ presentation/ smells/ coffee/ service are all excellent. Love the experience of finger eating and fun combinations of different sampler platters. Def try an Ethiopian beer and/ or homemade wine, then finish out the meal with freshly roasted coffee.

Chef special for two- flavors were all there. Reminded me of alot of the filipino food that my family eats. Needs more spice to it but overall great food.
Honey wine- one of the best wine i have ever had. Finished that real quick!!! Tasted very sweet and it tasted like theres a hint of apple cider vinegar in it which i liked.
Service and ambiance- very traditional and the people are so friendly and down to earth. They even gave us a brief history of how men and women hold/drink their wine.

Great little gem. I would definitely visit this restaurant again..

Thank you for the wonderful service

Came here on the recommendation of a local Floridian. My hubby and I ordered the Chef's special for two, which came with a variety of meat and vegetable entrees. We are foodies at heart and almost finished the entire dish. Overall, it was good, however, it could have been more flavorful. Also, the injera bread was more on the sour side than we anticipated. Our server was sweet and helpful. It was worth a try for something different in Orlando than the typical theme park food.

Spending the week in Orlando and wanted to try something new after eating almost exclusively sugar at the theme parks. Started with Sambusa. There were two with a spicy dip. Very delicious and similar to a samosa. Spicy dip was thick and had a mild to medium heat.

Had beef, lentil, and one of the chickpea veggie mains served family style. Absolutely delicious. Loved every bite. I have a very high spice tolerance and do wish I got it spicey, but don't know if it wouldn't have been able to be shared. Finished with coffee. Black, acidic, and tasty.

The server explained the cultural implications

If you are in the mood to try something different and have an adventurous palate, definitely give this place a try. I saw a lot of reviews complaining about the service so I was a little worried when visiting. However, our server was absolutely wonderful and kind. She was so helpful in explaining what the different dishes were and giving recommendations. The food was great and definitely something you don't get every day. To be honest, I don't have any idea what any of these are called, sorry, but I'm sure the waitress will be more than happy to help you find something great to eat

Amazing meal. Don't let the outside of the plaza or the storefront deter you. This place is clean and well-kept and the atmosphere is perfect. We shared the Chef's Special for Two. It is enormous and everything tasted so delicious! Ethiopian food is nearly impossible to find in Central Florida, so this is a gem!

Nice homey place, awesome food.

Lamb is to die for. Fresh bread and great staff. Take one of the booths, they are nice and cozy for the authentic experience of eating from the same plate for 4.

I can't say enough good things about this place!! It doesn't look like much from the outside, and the little area it's in isn't super nice but it is sooo worth it to go anyways! I had never eaten Ethiopian food so I really wanted to try it, and I couldn't have even imagined how amazing it would be.

Our waiter was the owner (I believe) and what a nice man! He was so happy to tell us more about his culture and the reason the restaurant was decorated how it is, and give us recommendations on what food to try since it was our first time.

We ended up getting the Chefs Special

1000% legit. Good food. Good experience.
Great service. Tuesday evening. Very quiet. Very friendly. Food arrived quickly. Everything was good. Lentils, beef, chicken, and salad and other variations of them. The food is prepped on top of thin sourdough. Sourdough is the carb and the base of the food. If you order the chefs special for 2, you eat off the main plate using your clean covid free fingers to rip off some sourdough and grab your main from there. They give you extra sourdough. I love sourdough but eventually it really starts to creep on you cause I had too much of it. I'm Filipino

A hidden gem in the randomness that is I-Drive. Easily one of my favorite Ethiopian restaurants in Florida. I missed the simple en yet filling flavors. I went with a couple roommates and we tried the samplers to get a sense of what they had.

We started with the Appetizer Sample. My favorite of it was the Tomato, onion and lime juice with the bread.

My roommate split the Chef Comp. I would have as well, but there was a few types of meat.

Mine was Niles Vegetarian Comp. There was nothing bad about it at all! The cabbage and colored greens were my favorite. So flavorful and soulful.
