Dr. Alvarez was referred to me by our friend, and I'm glad that our family decided to switch from our former chiropractor to her. I had a newborn and through contorting my body in order to support my newborn's neck and body, my neck became completely stiff. I was unable to turn my head to one side, and was having neck spasms. I was in complete pain and discomfort.

I went to Dr Alavrez last year for a consultation appointment. The doctor herself was great and I liked her holistic approach overall in diagnoses and treatment. We would have gotten started right away with the treatment had it not been issues with my insurance :-(
However, I do not like the front office. As friendly as Dr Alvarez was, the front office was curt. Talking to them wasn't always easy as good number of times, the call went to the voicemail. I had to contact my PCP,medical group and insurance, to be told finally to put in a claim followed by an appeal to get this all sorted out

Came here with some back pain recently and left with a lot less pain. she was awesome she had answered the phone when the office was closed and waited for me to come by and was very helpful because all the other places I called were trying to get me to wait another day :-( which would have meant more pain. I would recommend anyone who has pain to get a hold of mrs alvarez.

Dr. Melisa Alvarez is very caring and professional. She has been helping my daughter with a degenerating bone in her hip and makes such a huge difference in her everyday living and pain level. She's also helped my husband when he threw out his back a few times and me for back pain now and then. Thank you!!

What's not to love? I was once skeptical about chiropractic care, but thanks to Dr. Melisa and the Silicon Valley Spine & Disc Center, I am now an avid believer. I've been suffering from frequent migraines for over 4 years and after seeing Dr. Melisa for only a few months, I haven't experienced a migraine since! She is genuinely concerned about her patients and teaches useful techniques for continued care outside of her office. The staff and other doctors are very welcoming and friendly as well. The hours are very accommodating including lunch and after work appointments

I've been going to see Dr. meliSa Alvarez for a few years now. needless to say, she has been an instrumental part of my life and career. in my line of work, aches and pains are far too familiar than i'd like to care for. that's when i call her up and there she is to the rescue, helping me get better and stronger. i would highly recommend her to anyone and i have told many in the EMS industry about her for their aches and pains. oh yeah, how many DOCTORS out there do you know will go out with you for a slurpee? i just know of one.
