Was charged $260 for a service call that should have been no more than $100. When I called to discus the shocking $160 up-charge, the owner promptly returned my call only to yell obscenities, express his annoyance that someone would question the work done, and then hang up on me without any intention of a civilized conversation. Extremely unprofessional, and quite frankly offsetting... After looking into this incident, I found other reviews referencing Mr. Farnell's poor temper, which matched the ridiculous phone call I received.

Mr. Farnell changed out the heating and A/C unit in my parents declining 44 year old house. He was very thorough and went the extra mile to make sure the job was done correctly. Farnell heating and air came to my house and charge me $162 to repair my air conditioning unit. When I woke up the next morning the unit was still not working. I called Varnell to complain and the lady hung up on me. I had to get another air conditioning company and pay another $400 to fix Farnell's mistakes. I then told farnell that I would pay for the service call but I didn't feel owed anything else since they did not fix anything else. Farnell would not agree to these terms. We've experienced issues with our air conditioner over the past months and had to call them a few times for various issues this summer. The first time they had come over, they had just put freon in our system although the technician said it was fine--and had said our house was badly insulated and old.
