The hotel has been around for decades and some areas show the wear and tear more than others. We stayed there Columbus day through Wednesday and it was actually busier than I expected. The bed spread had a big, nasty stain on it but we always remove the bed spread in hotels. The bed was comfortable but the room needed a deep clean and a surface cleaning for sure. We paid $115 a night for a queen room facing the pool.

Horrible is an understatement… For the money I paid the rooms should be updated. The 1 bedroom condo was completely outdated and from the year of the floods. Carpets all stained, refrigerator leaks, sheets ripped, towels ripped, couch cushions flat, sliding door broken and won’t open, broken light bulbs, wallpaper peeling off the walls and the dust all over the walls. Not to mention the overflow of cesspool in the parking lot and the raw sewage smell from early morning to late afternoon… I shouldn’t have to hear people staying above me flush their toilets… YUK!! Just love this place! I only gave 4 stars because of the crowds of underage kids congregating around the bear. It was extremely difficult to pass between the pool and the beach. Definitely no social distancing here, and sadly, many rude young people in varying stages of inebriated!

I always heard good things about this hotel. The location is central. But, much to my dismay, we got a room last night and the room was unacceptable. I wasn’t looking for the four seasons, I wasn’t expecting perfection or glamour. But I also Was not expecting rust. There was rust on the lampshades, rust on the blow dryer, marks on the mirrors, the coffee table and everything else looked run down and not kept up with. I could Only imagine the lack of thoroughness with their cleaning, if they are comfortable with leaving the room in this condition (especially during Covid times, when we would

They gave our room away!!!!
When we got here after a three hour drive, our room that we booked was taken. They gave me a room across the street for 10% off. To say I am angry is beyond how I’m feeling right now.
The view on the beach is breathtaking, but I hope they move all of my luggage into the correct room tomorrow.
I did ask for drinks at the bar and they said no. I don’t know if I’ll be back here, ever.
