We welcome you and your family to enjoy the benefits of learning the traditional Chinese fighting and healing arts of Kung Fu. We offer classes to seniors, adults, families and children. For the past 34 years we have offered our services to the public and 30 years from the Lomita location to teach them the strength and healing of the Chinese Martial Arts.
The famous fighting master and founder of the Northern Praying Mantis system, Wong Long, had four disciples during the Ch'ing dynasty, each claiming superior innovations and each seeking to be released from the founding school. The master said their desires would be granted on one condition, that each disciple name his system after markings on the back of personally captured mantis.
Tan Tui's or Tam Tui's combinations or (Springy Hands and Feet) is also known as Longtantui (Longstan Footplay). They were also called National or Government Exercises at the time. Their nick names are the Road or the Path. They were generally taught in most schools as physical education. It consists of 12 series falling into 6 upper ones and 6 lower ones.
The eighteen classical weapons consist of nine long weapons, such as staff, spear, and the halberd; and nine short weapons such as double daggers, swords, and axes. The Chinese adopted most of the long weapons from the Mongols. But Chao Kuang Yin the emperor invented the three sectional staff. The southern Chinese, for urban type warfare, developed most of the shorter weapons.
Bagua Zhang is an ancient internal martial art generally characterized by a preference for open-hand fighting, circular movements, and evasive footwork. Its foundation is built upon the yin and yang circle. Its complexity is to control your opponent while doing circles around them. Not knowing which angle and direction the person is coming in.
