Kate has been in the hair, fashion and makeup industry for over 10 years. Kate prides herself on cutting edge techniques in both precision cutting and freestyle cuts as well as dry cutting. With a background in fine art and design, Kate can customize any style her clients want. Kate also specializes in formal styles as well including bridal.

A 24-hour notice is required to cancel all scheduled appointments via phone only. A credit card number will be taken to hold your appointment time for any services which are more than one hour in duration.

I followed stylist Greta to Jaafar Tazi and was so blown away with this new salon. The clean bright design is comfortable, yet functional. The details matter here with personal service, happy staff -Kiwi and Zana. The music playlist is relaxing while you sip your lemon ginger infused tea. This was truly a treat after a long week.

In my opinion, this is one of the best salons in Greenwich. Haircolor is unparalleled by Tonya who comes in from New York. Jaafar welcomes everybody and makes everyone feel comfortable. It starts from the top and that's what makes the salon so great. Have had blowdrys by several different people and all of them are great. Really nice people and a great vibe. You get what you pay for and it is worth it here!

Just discovered this salon on Main Street in New Caanan last week. I got a great blow out by Savannah, and many of my girlfriends swear by Greta. The color they were doing that day looked soooo good. So many blondes of all shades and they all looked amazing. I didn't have time for color but I plan to book one soon.

Highly recommend Tonya at Jaafar Tazi salon. I have been a client of hers for 20 years. She is an amazing colorist but does it all. I always leave there feeling fresh and fabulous and my blond highlights look natural. Tonya is continually learning new techniques and styles to keep current with the times. The salon is beautiful and has a great vibe. Karla at the front desk is friendly and efficient.

The WORST hair experience I have ever had in 20 years of getting my hair colored. Do NOT go here. Unless you want to spend $500 on color that looks like a first year beauty student did. Oh and then have them be rude to you when you don't like it.
I was referred here by a friend. I have been getting blonde highlights in my hair forever, I usually pay $250 for a top NYC stylist to do them, and they last 8 weeks. Yes, every 8 weeks x 20 years = *a lot* of salon visits.
I went to see Javier. First red flag should have been that he does cut and color. You need to specialize to be on the top

I found Jaafar Tazi through the internet and decided to go there thanks to the many positive reviews on Yelp. Thinking this was supposed to be a "luxury" salon cause it sure as hell had luxury prices I went there confident that I'd come out happy ... I was wrong. I spoke to my colorist for about 10 mins before we started and showed her a photo of exactly what I wanted done (milk chocolate hair color). I get my hair colored and cut by Kimberly there. She is a great stylist and I have even followed her out of state. If you bring a picture of what you want she will tell you if she can replicate it or not. She is the FIRST stylist ever that was able to give me the same haircut as the picture. I highly recommend her.

I've come here on three occasions for a haircut. I orginally found the salon with groupon, but they always have great deals going on. I came back the next two times because they had a "Two for $120" special.
Each time I had Violet as my stylist and she was terrific. She was complimentary and conversational without being annoying. The environment is professional, cleanly, and really enjoyable. I've never had a regretful or blah haircut--they really translate what you are looking for into your actual look. I will definitely get a haircut here again.

I had what I consider to be the best haircut of my life-along with color, and Brazilian blowout by Sergio. I am a hair snob- and have only had my hair done at Jon Barrett, Momotaro,Sassoon, etc. My hair never looked better- Sergio gave me a cut that truly complimented my bone structure; he removed weight were needed. The color choice was also excellent, as close to my own, but softer, and lighter. The Brazilian Blow out had no fumes and has a vacuum- the latest.

Professional and fun experience at my recent visit with my whole family. I was greeted immediately by a professional staff who took to my kids very kindly. Definitely not your typical Greenwich attitude. It was great and a nice find. The ambience was perfect. I think at one point my daughter was bopping her head to the music while getting her nails done. My son was relaxed on his media distraction and sitting quite still as Katie took to her skills. Two days ago I purchased from groupon to get a haircut at this salon. I am from Stamford, CT., and of course getting a haircut in Greenwich, CT is a bit uncomfortable since it is considered a wealthy town/village. I came here for the first time with a Groupon and had a haircut with Javier. Before I comment on that, just want to mention how sweet and professional Kathleen at the front desk was. The salon is clean and serene. Sinatra was playing and I found myself humming along. Back to Javier, the cut was great. During my appt I had a fear that he was over cutting but it was perfect. He explained what he was going to do, made sure I was comfortable and executed. Looking forward to going back.

I just moved to Greenwich Ct from NYC and, as a woman, one of the first things I needed, was to find a great hair salon. A friend recommended Jaafar Tazi and I decided to take her advice and scheduled an appointment. The hostess Rebecca was very welcoming, a delight, and she took my coat and asked me if I wanted anything to drink while I waited. Jaafar came right away and greeted me. He was lovely and professional and recommended a treatment by a stylist named Tiago who did a great job on my color. This was my 2nd time here and I like this salon. It is upscale but not "over the top" and they make an effort to make people feel welcomed. I was surprised to read another review that suggested a customer was treated as "less" because she had a groupon. Today I used the 2nd service bought on a groupon and was treated very nicely both times. The stylist I've seen there twice, Tracy, is professional, skilled, and fast. I plan to have my hair cut there in the next few weeks by another stylist at the salon Tracy recommended for my hair type and I look forward to another good

At Jaafar tazi salon . They made a mess of my hair.. Made it darker rather than lighter( highlights).i eft looking like I Needed highlights.. It was mousey and drab..I had to go back the next day and spend a whole afternoon trying to correct it.. They did make it lighter and somewhat acceptably lighter But not before having to rub my hair and scalp with some burning chemical to remove the dark color they put in.( I came in with very light hair and it was supposed to be refreshed..not made darker) today my scalp is irritated and burning..and my hair texture is ruined.! in addition.. Very Disappointed! Was hoping to find a new salon near my office in Greenwich . For the first time ever I took advantage of a groupon deal. The girls at the desk were great, however the stylist I was booked with was obviously very inexperienced. I specifically said I wanted soft highlights and got bright brassy highlights covered up with some horrible color glaze. I was booked with a master stylist for the haircut who spent about 10 min on my cut. Not sure if this was due to being a groupon user ,however I would of thought that any salon looking to bring in more full time customers by offering

I had a consultation with Katie before making an appointment and was very clear about the color I wanted to achieve. She seeemed to undersatnd and I made an appoinment. After having her color my hair three times I am left with pretty much the same color I started with, just with some streaky highlights that I didn't have before (or want). Each time, she would say, next time we will be able to get closer to the color. This was such a weird experience! I made an appt. to get my lash/brow tint done as my go to salon stopped doing it. At my old salon the whole experience took about 30 minutes.
When I arrived I had to wait about 15 minutes, which is ok I guess but annoying because they only have meter parking and meant I had to feed my meter several times. When I finally went in for my appt. I went into a private room and laid down in a a room for facials I would assume. However from there it was very strange. The process became so clinical.
