Since 1979, Shear Cut Salon has brought progressive hair services to Norwalk, CT. and the Fairfield County Area. In this time, our hair salon's experience and reputation has grown synonymously with leading trends in the industry. Owner, Tina Torraco, attributes the success of Shear Cut to our Aveda salon's strong team approach, as well as personalized guest communication.
Pure plant-sourced, Aveda all but began the organic trend in hair care twenty-plus years ago. When you shop our Aveda hair products, you will find texture lotions infused with organic marshmallow root, hairsprays- air-infused technology propels them, shampoos and conditioners with complex natural aromas change your mood as well as your hair.
For yours and others relaxation please turn mobile devices off or on silent while at our hair salon. If you are running late we will be happy to try our best to accommodate you within a 10-15 minute window, however it may not always be an option & we may have to reschedule your appointment. If our hair stylists are running late, we ask that you please understand that sometimes an unforeseen challenge may be the culprit.

Kevon gave me the best scalp massage ever, both visits! Better than any pro massage I've had. And I love the cut. My request wasn't easy to make happen, but he did it with flying colors. Kevon is highly… recommended for careful attention to details and the allover finish. I only called this morning, so it was great to get an appointment so quickly! I have been coming to Tina for nearly the entire time I've lived in Connecticut. Once I found her, I never went any place else. She is a true artist and not once, in all the appointments over the years have I ever had a bad cut or experience. I've asked for a lot of different styles and textures, and Tina has always brought her artistry, eye for style, color and overall look, and professionalism to every appointment. Thank you Tina!

Love this place! Mare at the front desk is super helpful and friendly. Everyone is very nice. I chose this place because it is an Aveda salon and i love there product. I keep coming back because of Alexa, she is fabulous and always gives me a great cut and color. She always has a smile and a great attitude.
As i sit in the chair the music plays and Kevon and Tom sing along. It just feels right. If your looking for a salon give them a try, you won't regret it. :)

I am a loyal customer in a place about 30 minutes away, but I recently had major surgery and wasn't able to wash my hair and needed someplace close for a blowout. They were able to fit me in the same day. Alexa was great - she listened to me carefully when I said I couldn't have any product in my hair due to my treatment, and she did a beautiful job. She made me feel so pretty! The person at the desk was super friendly and sent me off with a sweet little get well gift and a coupon to use toward another service. I've already got my next blowout appointment made!

I'm giving Shear cut 5 stars because one of their hair dressers, Angie made it the best possible experience. She was so personable and sweet. She understood exactly what kind of highlights I wanted and the cut she gave me was unbelievable. Defiantly a talented artist worth going to see!!!! I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to take their look to the next level.

Do not bother with this place! They are very unprofessional here. When I walked in one of the stylists was fighting with the receptionist about not telling customers the other stylist is on lunch. I should have walked out then! I got my hair cut by Jeannie and it was anything but what I expected! I told her numerous times I did not want the length cut on my hair as I am growing it out and it takes my hair FOREVERR to grow. I specifically stated that all I wanted was face framing layers and to have my hair thinned out. She said that to give me the layers she would have to cut into my hair a bit

I met Pat and Tina Torraco at Online Trading Academy down the road from the Salon and absolutely loved them! Tina recommended me to her salon for my hair and I went without hesitation. I had Jill who knew exactly what to do with my hair as I don't really know what I want but she saw the shape of my face and cut it perfectly. Just made another appt and can't wait to go back.

I have been going to Clover for the last year and a half, since the move from Queens. She's edgy without being aggressive, listens, and is quick. She does not try to upsell you (in fact, most stylists there are not into that), which is a shock because it is an Aveda salon where everything is about the product.
Because of some money trouble, I told her that I had to color my own hair, and she didn't treat me any different. I know why I go to her, because she is good, she gives a great cut and style, and I like having someone who reminds me a bit of the city without paying ridiculous
