Springfield Animal Hospital was founded in the early 1960's by the late Dr. Glen Noffsinger and was then known as Noffsinger Animal Hospital. In July of 1990, Dr. Michael Bissell purchased the hospital and soon after changed the name to Springfield Animal Hospital. Our veterinary practice has undergone changes and improvements throughout the years in keeping with the many ongoing advancements in veterinary medicine.

I came in to do a pre-op appointment to get my 10 month old American bulldog spayed. She gets nervous around the vet since being chipped and this time was no different. Instead of being patient with her the tech kept yanking at her collar and trying to force her mouth open, or body into a certain position before finally being prompted by the Vet to stop. The vet herself was kind and allowed me to assistant to lower my pup's anxiety.
Cost of the spay was estimated at $890-$980! I will be taking her to Aniciria in Manassas instead and pay only $278.

I never leave reviews on Google however today I was blown away , I was worried about my molly but my heart remained at ease ! The team is so dedicated and involved i never been to a vet/hospital that was so informative and wasn’t just searching for profit ! I was shocked today to hear from my mom how much we would be spending it kinda upset me like wow during these times I’m really spending ALOT . Though I knew the amount It still didn’t appeal to my bank account . Trinity the receptionist I guess heard the devastation in my voice right before I hung up she educated me briefly on pet insurance

So I took Manly the Wonder Dog in today for a check up because I’m a worrier and Dr Amanda was awesome with answering my questions about his diet and he really liked her and she didn’t get annoyed with the almost 80lb Golden retriever trying to plow her over .. he loves going to the doctor I’m. Not sure how many doggies actually jump in the vehicle when they hear they are going to the vet but he does every time hahaa .. to him I think it’s a social engagement!! thank you for being so sweet and patient with my Golden Child .

A big thank you to Springfield Animal Hospital who worked me into their schedule tonight at 7 pm when I discovered a swollen puncture wound on my cats chest. He's fine after they cleaned it and administered antibiotics and pain meds. It could have waited until morning but my cat and I will both sleep comfortably in no pain. I was upset and worried after losing his brother just two months ago. God Bless them
