The term "estate planning" is a legal process to pre-arrange the way your property, money and assets are distributed to family and loved ones after you have passed on. It also addresses those plans if you are ever unable to care for yourself and make sound decisions. You can determine at what amount and to whom your assets will be distributed in order to prevent destructive conflicts among your family.
In most cases, we will begin work on your behalf without the payment of a retainer and our fees are generally collected at the close of the probate process. If you are an out-of-state resident, you may not need to travel to Nevada during the entire probate process and we will make all court appearances on your behalf.

I recently had a will and living trust drawn up by Mark Dodds. I found him to be professional, experienced, and easy to talk to. My questions and concerns were all fully addressed. He offered scenarios I hadn't considered. Fees and turnaround time were both standard and reasonable. A few weeks after completion, I did discover a typo on one of the documents filed with the county. Of course, I was a bit annoyed, but figured that since everything was paid in full, they wouldn't much care about trivial details such as this. Unfortunately I have had numerous experiences with lawyers throughout the course of my life, some amazing, some adequate and some that lack the skill and/or professionalism it takes to get the job done. Jason Aivaz of Grant Morris Dodds took payment in advance and has lacked the dedication and interest it takes to handle my matter. His only actions on my behalf seem to come as a result of my emailing him asking for status or a phone call from me asking for status. Admittedly when I called I wasn't sure if they could even help. The receptionist was incredibly sweet, listened to my issue, and then set up a meeting over the phone for the following day. I can't remember who I spoke to, but he gave me great advice, listened intently, and told me what I needed to do before I really needed to get a lawyer (and even told me honestly that I probably wouldn't need to). I appreciated the kindness and honesty given at a tough time when I felt frustrated. I would definitely call them again if I ever needed to.

I had FINALLY found out where Mark L. Dodds was now a partner, after having suffered through three other revisions at another firm.
Mark was the attorney who worked at Jeffery Burr and Associates when we first prepared our Trust Documents in the state of Nevada. He was thorough, very well qualified, took our requests seriously and prepared all documents so that there would be no ambiguity in their content! I worked for attorneys for almost 30 years, so this I know. Due to leaving his previous firm, the firm would not tell me where he was now practicing law. I went to the "other"

Our family recently met with David Grant concerning estate planning. Mr. Grant is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and very patient in explaining ideas and presenting his plan. Would not recommend this law firm. They leach on people's lack of intelligence and are overpriced. I worked in an estate planning office for years, I needed to get a simple amendment to a trust (mind you these are easier and less expensive) but the attorney wanted to restate my whole

I really truly do not understand all of these five star reviews. I seriously have had the worst experiences with one of their attorneys, over and over. The ONLY good thing was that he responded quickly via email but he was constantly confused or had forgotten (all of?) the details of the case. He would review things so quickly that I had to stop him, time and time again, to ask him, "I'm sorry, what is that exactly?" and "What does that acronym mean?" I didn't need it dumbed-down, I'm not an idiot, but I needed the legal terms and processes explained, because

We visited Mark Dodds for the purpose of restating our Revocable Trusts which had not been updated for many years and were out of date as to our wishes. We had a few very unusual situations we wanted to cover in our Trusts. Mark did an excellent job of understanding our desires and explaining options we may not have considered. He listens and is not an egotist like may lawyers are. His knowledge of the law is also excellent. We discussed a price for his services which was reasonable and the final bill was exactly as agreed.

My brother passed away in April of 2013, and I suddenly was forced into taking care of his remaining family and his estate. I can't say enough about David Grant. He is intelligent and as far as I am concerned, an expert in his field. Our prior attorney did not explain how our estate tied into our Trusts but David streamlined everything so that, although we have a lot going on, I feel I can look at our Estate chart and understand it. We feel confident about our future as well as future generations.
