Located in San Luis Obispo, CA, the US Academy of Martial Arts Inc. is unique in its approach to teaching martial Arts. We teach martial arts systems from around the world such as Karate, Kung-Fu, Aikido, Tae-Kwon-Do, Judo, and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, developing a complete style that takes the best of each and is effective and fun to learn at any skill level, ability or age.

The blending of the styles provides US-AMA students in San Luis Obispo with a tremendous resource of effective techniques. Rather than molding the student into one particular style, US-AMA has training programs that maximize the abilities and potential of each student. Our super clean, family style dojo is located at 1160 Laurel Lane, San Luis Obispo.

So much more than expertly taught martial arts lessons! The respect, acceptance, patience and love at this dojo truly will affect every aspect of your life. My kids don't know yet how lucky they are to be learning from Sensei Cavaliere. I do know how lucky I am and I am grateful.

An awesome place to get your kid outside and active! They are doing a great job during covid: outdoor classes, masks on, socially distanced.

Feels like one of the few places I can safely take Jude right now! They offer a four week trial too.

We have been very happy with the training our son has received at US-AMA with Sensei Dan. Sensei has a commanding but gentle spirit that shows in classes that are focused and controlled with kids that are having fun and progressing through their skill levels. So glad we found this dojo.

I love that each belt is tied to a character trait. My boys are being encourage to be young men of good character while learning to have power under control and self defense. Sensi Daniel truly has a heart for what he does and is positive role model for my children.

My kids and I love the way Sensei Daniel teaches the class. He explains each move step by step with such ease that my children are able to follow along and learn. During "Bring a Friend Day" I was able to participate in the class and loved it. Sensei Daniel is awesome!!!

We make the drive from North County in order to have our son involved in this unique program. In addition to teaching martial arts, US-AMA emphasizes the development of personal character. Sensi Dan is a great role model for the students while also making the classes fun and engaging.

We’ve had two sons take classes at us-ama and can’t speak highly enough about the wonderful job they do! The way Sensei commands the attention of these little ones is impressive, and I can’t believe how quickly our boys have learned skills and gained confidence. The class schedule is great/flexible and there is always someone ready to help/answer any question you may have. Wonderful program!

Sensei Dan is a great instructor. He really knows how engage the kids and keep them interested throughout the entire class. Sensei Dan is the owner and personally teaches every class, even the 4-6 yr olds. I highly recommend bringing your child to US-AMA to learn martial arts and self discipline.
