Ive stayed at river street inn before and it's very very nice. This review is specifically for Ms. Val though, if you ever get the chance to meet her she is such a fun time and so sweet. Tonight she was throwing a party in the meeting room with hors d'oeuvres and it was such a fun time it was one of the highlights of my trip. Thank you Val!

I had to change my reservation - delayed it a day. Got an email confirmation of the cancellation but the hotel didn't credit my credit card for the canceled room. So I paid twice for the same room. I've called a few time but the manager didn't call me back, and someone at the desk hung up on me for my last call. The person who answers the desk at the phone also told me the manager was in yesterday, and today they tell me he was not in. Okay, hotels are having a hard time with staff, but this is pretty bad. Also, none of the guests wear masks, and I could hear hotel cleaner coughing

The location was wonderful. Close to so many things to do. The building is old, which we knew, but there was an odor about the entire place that was nauseating. The noise from the street was terrible, hard to sleep. The room was charming, but not clean, and was not cleaned our entire stay. The homeless person outside was also not a pretty site. We found the staff to be rude and not helpful at all, and the front desk was left empty a lot. We would not stay at this hotel again if we were to go back to Savannah.

My family has been coming to Savannah for years. Unfortunately this specific trip will be considered a flop due to our accommodations. When we checked in, no one offered to assist us with luggage or offered us any kind of concierge service. There is no where to park on site, and if you are unfamiliar with the area, you are basically forced to use the valet service at an additional cost of $37/day, plus gratuity everytime you need your vehicle.
After finally finding the way around the property, (apparently no one could be bothered to show us to our room), we were given a room on 3rd floor with

Buyers beware.
I recently stayed at this hotel for my honeymoon for 5 nights. I paid over $500 for 4 nights at the hotel in advance online. Upon checking in at the hotel they tried charging me $500+ again. Luckily my card declined. I booked a 5th night for a stated price of $199. The last day of my stay before even checking out they attempted to charge me $886. I had my card turned off so that declined. They proceeded to attempt a $375+ charge followed by an attempt to charge $250. Today, they attempted again for $200 and again for $100.
I spoke with them yesterday and they refused to give me

River Street Inn saved my weekend. Upon arrival for the race weekend I found out my ABNB double booked and I had no where to stay. I found a room here and it was perfect. It was clean, comfortable, and has character (also apparently 5 ghostly hosts). The staff was so helpful upon my arrival. The daily happy hour was above and beyond what I expected, and the location couldn’t be beat. I’m definitely staying here my next trip.

We were very pleased to stay in this hotel. Perfect one night. Close to everything. Balcony with 2 queens. The hotel is over 200 years old, it has the feeling of an old Era. Beautiful stairs, decor, just amazing! Our room was perfect.

So glad we decided to stay here on our anniversary trip! All staff members were very friendly and helped answer any questions we had. The room was very comfortable and clean. Manager Reception is a great perk as well! The only downside is you can hear other doors slam as others enter and leave their rooms, but with it being a very old building it's expected. We would highly recommend staying here and will be back!!

River street Inn was a wonderfully placed hotel dead in the heart of all the action in Savannah's historic district. However, I was told we had a city view from our hotel room. Turned out to be an excellent view of an alley way. In the morning, we would open the blinds to people smoking and trash bags on the outside of our window. No point in opening blinds to that. Nonetheless, room 328 is just below the lobby and the sounds of footprints, doors opening and closing, and carts rolling around would definitely keep the sprits and guest awake. The room was nice and had a dated feel to it, which took

Great location if you want to be by the river walk! The room was beautiful, nice clean linens, great view and hardwood floors. They offer complimentary happy hour from 5-6:30 un the restaurant on the second floor. Only issue...our room was right by the stairs...if you're a light sleeper, stay away from the stairs!

I expected so much more. The hotel is lovely with beautiful brick walls and wooden framed windows. The service is nil! We couldn't even get our room cleaned and 4 women were sharing the space for 4 nights! We had to ask for toilet paper! The webpage showed that there was turn down service in the evening, so I thought I would be spoiled, and expected to be at this price. The lobby is manned by a single person at a time and there tends to be a long line during the busy hours of checkin. The desk people were efficient but not friendly. One saving grace was the valet parking. All the attendants

There was good and bad.
The good.
1. Beautiful hotel.
2. Right on the river/downtown.
3. The customer service was good.
The not so good.
1. The price. $290 for one night in a room that does not overlook the river.
2. No breakfast. There is a 10% discount at several restaurants. For the price though it is really insufficient.
3. There is no parking. We arrived in the middle of a downpour. We got the valet service. Again, at $30 a night it was very pricey.
All in all I was disappointed. The only upsides were the convenience and the stylishness of the rooms. For over $300 I

If you're looking for a quiet comfortable stay with great customer service DO NOT stay here.

Two stars - the location is very convenient and the hotel itself if very historical and classy. The industrial vibe of the rooms is very well done.

Upon checking in it was hectic as it was the day after the 4th if July. Everyone was scrambling, yet not really doing anything (if that makes sense). Then I couldn't find my room and couldn't get anyone's attention to help. It's kind of a maze.

There was some kind of a party with a group of young girls in my hall that were constantly

My room was nothing like those pictured. There were no towels and after the night staff told me to look again, I had to wait hours to shower in the morning because housekeeping doesn't come in until 9:00. There was also blood on the comforter, and the staff didn't seem to care about any of it. After someone grumpily offered me thirty extra minutes on checkout due to our being delayed by the towel issue, someone else called and literally just said, "You staying another day?" at ten after when we were still in the room. Tried to discuss it with a manager but first they said there

I stayed in this hotel in hopes of experiencing a comfortable stay in a prime location. Prime location , it definitely has as we were able to walk just about everywhere. As far as for our comfort, AWFUL is the best way to describe it.
Let's start from the beginning... we arrived to the hotel to not only not be acknowledged by the valet who all just stayed staring at us, but to have to unload the car and take the belonging to the room by ourselves because no one could help. We were provided a bell hop cart. We arrived to a filthy room. I am not exaggerating when I say there was a half inch

Update:

We attended the reception on the 2nd floor tonight.

Holy cow! If you're a fun person, go. Just go. Val, the hostess/bar tender is the life of the party. She absolutely made it worth the trip. We had so much fun.

RSI, you have an amazing hostess in Val. Give her a raise and promote her. She's the best thing going for RSI in my opinion.

I found this hotel, pretty last minute, on Hotel Tonight. It was a good deal ($127 + tax) and seemed to be in a good location in the Downtown Historic District, so we booked it. It is located on the river (hence the name). They have Valet Parking for $27, but we opted to park at a Public Lot (which the valet told us about) for $10, so saved money there. Check-in was easy and the woman at the Front Desk very helpful, telling us where our room was and about a complimentary Happy Hour at 5 p.m. I left my bag with my computer in it in the Lobby, almost had a panic attack and she called me right away

Really great place to stay when in Savanna. Front desk staff and all we met/saw were very welcoming. Beautiful old building right on the river and connected/affiliated with several restaurants within the property. The second floor restaurant bar overlooking the river was a divine spot for an evening cocktail / app. while watching ship traffic pass. Highly recommend this place!

The doors were locked the night we tried to check in for our reservations. Called several times but no one answered the phone. The hotel is surrounded by bars and there was a group of drunk people loitering outside being very offensive. We did not feel safe waiting outside for someone to finally answer the phone and let us in. We never got to check in. I contacted the hotel for a refund the next day when I saw the credit card I used to reserve the room had been charged. I finally got a response 2 days later saying they spoke to their staff who claimed we checked in even though they could not provide

Ok where do I begin...the management team is beyond rude. No hello, no welcome no I give a damn about your business.
The inside of the hotel and the rooms are beautifully decorated but the hallways are filthy. The same nasty litter in the halls all day and night.
The restaurant on site also horrible. Plastic utensils, paper napkins amidst a menu that is no better than an Applebee's.
The worst was the morning we were to leave...no valet. We checked the night before to make sure they were there at 6 am but nobody! The front desk girl said we would have to go get the car ourselves. Your charging

I'm so impressed with this hotel. It was half the price as the bigger hotels. This hotel has the Savannah charm most people are looking for. It sits right on the river side so you can exit on first floor for the river or the 4th floor for everything else. Hueys coffee is connected to the building with the best coffee. The hotel has been updated. It isn't level throughout the hotel but that is to be expected when you're in a super old building! They do not offer cleaning service during this time due to covid which is a huge positive. They require masks in the hotel. They have a managers

Love this hotel!

The friendly staff welcome you and are very helpful!

The rooms are wonderful! They are so clean and comfy! We loved the pillows so much we found out the brand and bought some for our home.

River Street Inn is centrally located near so many of Savannah's amazing attractions. You can walk almost anywhere from the River Street Inn.

There is also a free happy hour and they offered a free brunch coupon for Huey's Restaurant.

I hope to make our trip to the River Street Inn an annual tradition. We love it there!
