The Marshall House
What an amazing hotel! The staff obviously takes pride in their work in this historic hotel. The extra touches, wine in the evening, talk about the history of the hotel and Savannah, and lots of breakfast choices, all make for a pleasant stay. Location is right in the heart of the historic district and offers access to many sites, restaurants and shops.

The Marshall House is located in the very center of the Historic District on Broughton Street. There's shopping and dining right outside our door, and beautiful squares and antebellum architecture at every turn. Most guests do not need their car until it's time to leave for home. In 1864-65, the Marshall House was occupied by Union troops and was used as a Union hospital.
Services
In 1864-65, The Marshall House was occupied by Union troops led by General William Tecumseh Sherman. The building was used as a Union hospital for wounded soldiers until the end of the Civil War. Guests are invited to visit our 3rd floor and view a collection of original prints, newspapers, letters, and documents reflecting Savannah's experience during the Civil War.

Awesome decor with an ambiance of class all over. Staff very friendly and helpful. I was fortunate to stay in the haunted room and experienced the superb paranormal activity as narrated by other patrons. Historically Marshall House used to be a hospital during the American revolution of north and south. Many patients were treated without anesthesia which resulted in premature deaths. These events caused many spirits to remain in-house and wonder through a particular room which I won’t disclose!

We came here for 3 nights. The hotel has a lot of history and charm. The location was great and we enjoyed our balcony room. I’d recommend parking in the garage right behind the hotel. For all 3 nights the parking was only $25 total. The staff we encountered were all wonderful.

Our first time at The Marshall House was a very pleasant surprise. We typically stay at a B&B when visiting Savannah, but decided to try something different this time. The staff and amenities are top notch. The staff has events each night during a wine social hour that truly captures the charm of The Hostess City” of Savannah. Overall just a great experience.

Beautiful historic inn right in the middle of Savannah. Even on a busy weekend the staff could not have been more helpful and available, (shout out to Beau for helping my girlfriend into their conference room space to take a meeting while we waited for our room to get ready!). From breakfast to the nightly wine happy hour, everything was perfect and accessible and I could not recommend it enough and will definitely be staying again during my next visit.

This is stay at the Marshall house was well worth it. The hotel is old but is restored to a very elegant glory. The staff is extremely helpful

We have a room on the second floor so we had the balcony to enjoy a nice bottle of wine overlooking Broughton st. They had nightly trivia contests or performing artists that came in nightly. They had a harp player one night. Great times. And it is always a free wine night starting at 5 to 630pm

Breakfast provided in the morning.

We had a great time.

Great hotel. Attentive and upbeat hotel staff. Unbeatable location. So easy to walk everywhere of interest in the Historic District. Only thing that could be improved is the breakfast.

This location was great, right downtown. Valet parking was under $40 and very convenient, especially because I didn't want to use or think about my car. I had a bottle of wine delivered to my room and it had a super cute label with the Marshall house pictured. Now, Ghost story! I stayed on the 4th floor which is rumored to hear children playing, adults talking loudly at night and clattering noises. My Father was meeting me there and upon his arrival I informed him of the noise possibility and he told me that the woman in front of him at check in was complaining of noise the night before..

The staff are wonderful and make your stay special. We had one issue during our stay and the general manager went above and beyond to make it right. The hotel has an amazing history and is well situated for exploring the area. We had a balcony room and enjoyed sitting out.

We loved our stay here. They were courteous and generous. They put a bottle of champagne in our room for my birthday, icy water in the lobby, yummy continental breakfast, and wine night every evening the lobby. The historic charm was perfect without feeling old or dirty. Loved this place!

Stopped here for a night before heading to SC. So my husband has a ghost obsession and he heard from a coworker that this place has its own stories and you are never "truly alone". Needless to say I was not impressed nor looking forward to this stay.

Once I walked in the lobby and we checked in the place was clean, cozy with an old eerie feel. I liked it. We got there right in time for wine happy hour so I was immediately in a better mood. The lobby area was super clean and cute and our wine server "Chyna" was the best (thanks for the many glasses of wine!! And the bottle

I had a very pleasant stay at the Marshall House.

The rooms were nice. I stayed in a double queen. The bathroom is a good size and there is a big armoire and a TV. The beds were very comfortable and had many pillows. The room was also at a nice cool temperature. Additionally the Wifi was fast.

The atmosphere is very cool. The hotel looks and is very old and when you walk around the halls you can feel that the hotel is haunted. Sadly I had no ghost encounters myself but the front desk gave me a packet of ghost stories to read.

I would also like to add the staff are extremely hospitable. Every

Have been going to this place for a very long time A beautiful place is my positive words for the place Now the negative: very loud A/C when on A little chiller instead of a refrigerator that works over time (if you are there that long) The blackout curtains (don't) Had extended checkout so housekeeping knocked on door way before regular checkout (even with do not disturb sign on door) and $50 hold on your CC This was the 5th birthday trip we had made to this place Use to get Champagne with balloons and chocolate covered strawberries This time just the champagne More things that were not up

This is my post Covid review as I have stayed there for years enjoying the wine and cheese music and hospitality. This time there was no cheese not even wrapped or music and the valet fee went up to $38 a night.
They were very nice. I was surprised to find out that my room refrigerator was actually A cooler not a refrigerator ! We asked for a late check out as it was a birthday trip and were woken early by a maid knocking even with a do not disturb sign. The beds definitely need upgrading they are very hard and the air-conditioning coming on really loud throughout the night had me asleep in the

I went with my buddy for a couple days and it was a blast. Amazing location close to everything. Great breakfast that will fill you up, beautiful lobby/rooms, and a little wine hour that was icing on the cake. We actually went for the haunted part of it on the 4th floor. I slept like a baby, but my buddy got a couple haunts here and there (low key jealous). Will return once again. Everything was clean and safe.

My husband and I recently stayed a night here since the military ball was downtown Savannah. Check-in was a breeze and staff were extremely friendly and courteous.

I've been eying this hotel for some time and I'm so glad we got to spend a night in this swanky place. Just the exterior alone has sold me a million times but the inside is just as gorgeous. It's a pretty upscale hotel but off course it puts its southern charm with it. I loved that they had a wine and cheese hour as well. Especially when you have a kid-free night those extra touches are always a plus.

I can not say enough nice things about this place.

Ill start off by saying the only mildly 2 negative things
- rooms are on the smaller side, i was comfortable being one person but more than 2 would feel like a crowd.
- Air conditioning is LOUD- Between my home AC & dehumidifier, im used to loud but this was overwhelming, even for me. I meant to say something when i was there but i forgot. Maybe it was just my room because i didn't read anything about this in the other reviews.

That being said.
Lets start with the rooms- comes with basic amenities, a robe, closet, mini fridge. Very
