Services
For over a century the Hess Family has had a presence in northern Harford County. St. Clair Hess and his clan purchased farmland from Jarrettsville Pike to east of Fallston Road. Hard working farmers of German descent, the St Clair Hess and his wife Anna raised a family of 11 children, many still have family living in Harford County.
Cremation has become an increasingly popular choice when selecting end-of-life options with more that 50% of Americans choosing cremation over the traditional ground burial. At Highview our state-of-the-art crematory is located in the privacy of our funeral home. This allows us complete control over the cremation and preparation process.

As a reminder my best friends setter was cremated here with she and I present. The obese white man I guess that owns the cemetery had the careless attitude "oh the dogs brains were not cremated and we had to crush them with a tool". So ignorant and uncaring. He rode around in a little golf cart. We still dislike what happened there and ignorant wording not necessary and will never recommend Highview to anyone.

I was so highly impressed with the staff's compassion, empathy and care during a really rough time. They added so many thoughtful details and made all the family, guests and friends very comfortable. They were welcoming, thoughtful and such a kind funeral service. The grounds were impeccable, peaceful and a beautiful place to rest your loved one.

I was at first in awe with Pet Haven in the beginning. In the beginning process of my cats services. However, as I write this I’ve yet to receive my cat baby back from them and they’ve told me I have yet another long week to go before she’ll be delivered. I’m totally disappointed with their services. Everything was not explained to me completely and they did nothing to make me happy after the fact. Also, please note I did speak with the manager Kay, who did absolutely NOTHING..... I’m in tears right now. I miss my baby sooooo much. I honestly feel if you don’t have a way to their location

Our beloved dog of 14 years passed suddenly due to an illness. We were already emotional due to how the vet treated us due to covid so when we called Highview we were blessed to be met with the upmost compassion and respect for our girl (even during pandemic restrictions). We were given a beautiful urn and a keepsake paw print. I highly recommend Highview. Thank you!

After having our beautiful English Setter cremated here the owner in his little golf cart had the nerve to say the dogs "brains/skull had not been cremated". Is something mentally wrong with this older man...must be to say this and in front of a child. Expected way better service for the cost. Will NEVER go again and recommend others to go elsewhere. Signed a nurse.
