Location wasn't bad but that's just about the only positive thing. The room was small, and dirty. Given it is at the beach so I get there being some sand but there was also an old candy wrapper, hair and lint behind the night stand. Dust on the lid of the ice bucket too. And me not being very talk could barely sit on the toilet without my knees hitting the wall in front of me.

My significant other and I decided on a last minute overnight trip to VA Beach. We were rained out of our original vacation plans and wanted to do something spontaneous and out of our ordinary routine. So, we headed South Bound. We checked into this quaint little motel which is actually a hotel I discovered. Very affordable for our basic needs and last minute plans. We had made our reservation whilst sitting in the parking lot of the hotel. As I said, very last minute planning. The lady who checked us in at the reception desk was delightful and kind. She informed us of where the other parking area

We had booked an airbnb at Buckroe Beach for 5 days. We loved our house but hated the area. We always stay at VA Beach, we decided to try something new this year. On the last day we decided to leave and find a hotel at VA beach, almost all were booked and those that weren’t were over 350.00 for the one night we needed. We took a gamble on Atlantic 19, by reading the reviews we had a 50/50 chance of it being great or absolutely horrific. I would absolutely stay here again, it is not a 5 star resort but it does the job for a few nights stay. It was very clean, stocked well, reasonably priced, excellent

+ location just near by the beach
- performance just behind our windows, which doesn't help to sleep
- fairly small room and double bed, which doesn't allow to sleep 2 people at the same bed.
- parking behind the hotel is inconvenient. If you drove in, there is no space and someone drove behind you - then you are locked. You can go out only if car behind is mercy enough. Alternative lot is 2 blocks away

The WORST hotel I have ever stayed at. I went on a spontaneous trip to VB and just booked a room that was close by. There were dead roaches in the hallway I was staying on when we checked in at 12:30am and when we checked out at 9am the roaches were still there! The room had no where to plug in by usb. The sheets still had hair from the previous guests on top of the sheets and underneath! They have no comforter just two dirty sheets. On our way out we were going to take a hallway closest to our room to get to the elevator and there was a bat or bird stuck there so we took the long way out. And

BEWARE OF THE ROACHES!!! I wish I could give this hotel -2 stars. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in and I don't ask for much, just the basics such as a clean room, decent temperature, and bug-free. Just regular stuff. My husband and I decided to do a quick getaway to VA Beach for a few days. We decided to ignore the 2 star rating and take a chance. It can't be that bad, right? WRONG!! We'll never take a chance without fully reading the reviews again. 19 Atlantic Hotel officially taught us a lesson about terrible hotels.

Great clean hotel room and bathroom was a good size it was in a good location close to everything. Beds were comfy didn't hear people next to us, the room is super cold they do have a blanket people are just dumb and dont look in the cabinets. If you don't like the cold bring your own extra blanket because the ac is super cold. also the hotel does not have a pool and they do not give free breakfast other than that i would definitely stay at this hotel again, Also a church is right across so the church bell rings every hour but it didn't really bother us
Elevators work, they have

I have stayed here about three times now. If you are looking something cheap on Labor Day weekend, this is the spot. But to warn you the AC is punching. And it is LOUD. So at night if you get cold like me pack something to keep you warm. It is always clean and kept up however.
This year I was able to park right behind the place. The last two years I had to use the lot two blocks away (not pleasant). Their restaurant next door is good too!

This is a cheap place to sleep close to the beach and the strip. If those are your minimum criteria, you're in luck.
My stay also included a friendly cockroach and an interesting blood spatter in the hallway, an exciting hair-filled shower complete with used soap bar, a fun broken faucet handle, and a single outlet placed conveniently in the actual middle of the wall of my sizeable 12x12 room.
Luckily my room also included limitless views of the construction site next door and the soothing screech of a broken 87-year-old-air conditioning unit.
Would definitely stay again.

I think if you're wanting to stay close to the boardwalk, nightclubs, etc., this hotel would do the trick. But it was a disappointment for me, my husband, and our toddler. Luckily, we really only needed it for a place to sleep. Our family was staying in Sandbridge and we ended up leaving early each morning and returning around 10 p.m.
Pros:
- Cheaper than most boardwalk hotels
- Nice staff
Cons:
- Extremely basic amenities. No coffee maker. No dresser. No blankets. One nightstand. No bathroom counter space. No pool
- Cleanliness definitely not up to par. Marks all over the walls
- Parking

I read the reviews and I absolutely thought this place would be better than what it was but boy was I wrong Every bad review that I read was absolutely true This place could have been so much better The price is not worth it and it's non refundable that in is self should tell you leave this place alone The only good thing I can say about this place is the staff was friendly But I feel for the poor maintenance guy his a** was working So on that note I'm telling you to Spin your money with some other establishments and leave this place alone once again you've been warned

This was a last minute booking as we had some difficulties with our previous arrangement (we weren't made aware that you had to be 21+ to check in until we arrived with four 17 year old and an 18 year old). We were panicking and couldn't find a place that would let us stay until I found this place. They had a room for us for the exact days that we planned to stay and were able to immediately book us. It was very inexpensive and we were extremely relieved to find a place that allowed an 18 year old to check in and at such short notice. We were told the room wouldn't be ready for a

Three or four stars, this is a tough one. The location was perfect for me, by Atlantic Ave, just cross the road and you are at the beach and boardwalk. The rooms are smaller than average, which I already knew going in. The bed is also smaller. I like to say it's cozy. Bit of a European feel to it.
We paid a little bit extra for window facing 19th st and you get a decent view of the surroundings, you can see the wheel which is lit up at night. We got three large windows, I like the wood blinds. I don't think it's worth it to pay even more for the avenue view window. If you want

Wish I could give this place ZERO stars. How this is a AAA diamond hotel, I really don't know. The beds and pillows are the worst I've ever slept on. Ouch!! Ur better off sleeping on the floor. The tiniest bathroom ever, if ur tall you have to sit sideways on the toilet, so you won't bump ur knees on the wall. Good location and even though the price was fair, I would spend a lil more to stay in a nicer/more comfortable place.

This hotel is very conveniently located near the beach, restaurants and I-264. The parking lot next to the hotel was full but there was overflow parking nearby. The room was clean but there were watermarks on the drop ceiling. I really disliked the fact that the room was windowless. Housekeepers and front desk personnel were great. May go back.

The room renovations look pretty nice and the morning staff are very pleasant. We had a nice view of Atlantic ave and the water. On another note we were not aloud to manage the air conditioning until we asked. The parking was horrendous in the evening and is taken over by people with expired hotel passes. We were told to park down the street and they were not going to do anything about the parking issue. I was actually scolded for not wanting to park down the street and was offered an illegal place to park. If you park here during the day do not move your car or you will be forced out by non paying

Shall I just say BED BUGS? I could leave it there. Sure. But I won't. We (2 couples in 2 rooms) chose this hotel in the thought process of "Hey, maybe a privately owned place will be unique and enjoyable." BOTH rooms had bed bug carcasses. Dead bug = problem solved? No. Actually bed bugs lay eggs that can lay dormant for months. Not to mention that one of the dead bugs was intact on our bed and was full of blood.
The room was dusty. It didn't feel like the *slightly* updated furniture disguised the building's uneven floors, dirty and cracked windows and tiles.

Absolutely terrible experience... Stayed for 3 nights in this dump, housekeeping only changed the bed sheets 1 time... Never refilled the soap and here is the best part. AC was just blowing air and it wasn't cold, worst sleep of my life. Woke up sweating every night several times. Let the manager know he was just rude and cocky and said they fixed it. Do yourselves a favor... Rent a tent and sleep at a campground before checking in here. What a waste of money. They do have free crappy wifi, good luck loading Google. Thanks for nothing 19 Atlantic craptel.
