It's a cheap room for a night -- pretty much sums it up. On the up side, I really liked the kitchenette; that was refreshing. The room and bathroom were not cleaned well. I felt pretty uncomfortable and kept finding random hairs and missing pieces of furniture.
That said, my favorite thing about the inn was the receptionist -- she was so sweet and helpful. She gets a star all on her own. (:

My mom, youngest daughter, and I
go on a girls trip every year and decided to try something new this year for my birthday in August. We tried Sundial Inn. I have to say that this was by far our best trip yet! The hotel itself could use some updates, which they are working on. The staff went above and beyond!! We couldn't have asked for better staff! During our visit, our air conditioner in our room broke (heat index was 108 all week). We told the staff of our problem, someone was in our room in less than 5 minutes to check it and a new unit was put in in less than an hour of us saying something

Stayed here in June during our vacation to Virginia Beach. The price was very good for the area. Our suite room was very spacious and comfortable. The room was clean, the air conditioners could be cleaned better/more often, but not a deal breaker. My wife and I were very pleased with our stay, the friendly staff, location, and would definitely stay again.

Beds were made with a sheet then a flannel blanket then a sheet on top of that tucked in. There is no actual comforter just two sheets with a thin throw-like blanket in the middle. Floors were not vacuumed or swept, the stove was dirty and we were supposed to get two queen beds but got two full instead. Our keys stopped working a day early but that was quickly fixed. Pool is fine. I understand they are understaffed with housekeepers and the ones I did meet were nice, made sure we had towels and stuff but I just can't get over the floors and the kitchenette being dirty. It is a simple place; not the most lucrative place to stay on the beach. But, it suits someone perfectly well who needs a place to sleep and a parking spot at the beach. Why pay more for a room when you can spend money on entertainment and products at the beach. Staff are friendly and courteous. We were pleased with our stay. For a more than reasonable price you can get a room just down the block from the beach.

This place was perfect for the price. Staff was friendly and helpful. It's a little out dated but clean. Close to the beach and walking distance to all the great shops and eateries. We didn't use the pool but it looked decent. Our room had a full kitchen and fridge. Could have better coffee maker but overall happy with our stay.
