We believe that by providing children with a variety of age appropriate play, learning experiences and social activities, they will grow and develop a foundation that will provide a base for future learning. Guided by teachers and parents, the children are encouraged to explore, experiment, manipulate and learn from their surroundings at their own level and rate of speed.
Services
Tutor Totter Preschool, Inc. was established in 1969. A small group of families wanted to start a parent cooperative preschool in the Christian Valley Community Building. Much hard work and effort went into creating the school. Those first families were responsible for everything from building the original wood play structure- (since updated by Auburn Recreation District) - to obtaining the proper licensing.
Hello Tutor Totter families! My name is Jessie. I have lived in Auburn for over 20 years and absolutely love it here. I have been working with children since I was 16 and always knew I wanted to pursue a career working with them.
I attended Sierra College where I received my associate's degree and then continued my education at Sacramento State University where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in child development I have been with Tutor Totter since 2008, where I started as a working aunt for my niece.I immediately fell in love with the preschool and was very fortunate to be offered a job.

Our parents and Board members transform our classroom into Santa's workshop. Bring your kiddos to shop for mom, dad, grandparents, siblings etc. There will be a shopping station where every gift will be wrapped and ready to go under your tree! We will also have fun crafts, yummy goodies, and pictures with Santa.
