Maybe these people have a wonderful fitness program, and maybe they also have terrific martial arts training as well. But this is not a boxing gym which is what I was looking for. For they don't have a boxing ring, or aspiring boxers who are in training. But like I said before they may be great at fitness & martial arts, but not at training boxing.

I really liked this place! The teaching is great and the instructors are excellent. The classes are exciting and offer me a good cardio workout. Compared to kickboxing classes at Equinox, this gym is very cost effective but still with good quality. However, the main problem is the front desk clerk, I believe his name is Domienice. He charged me $20 for a daily pass even though I had a 5 class pass that I had not used yet. I understand that simple mistakes can happen, so I didn’t make a big deal of it.
However, the front desk clerk stated that he would call me after talking to the head training

Can you say kick it into overdrive? Jabs Gym came highly recommended to me. I sometimes get bored with the same old gym experience and routine. Jabs Gym offers a variety of classes and the trainers seem to be very knowledgeable. I popped in for a Saturday morning booty bootcamp....HELLO gluts. Let's just say it was difficult to walk for a few days. hahaa I would most certainly recommend this gym. It's time to get our covid, quarantined bodies into gear, Ladies. The entrance is on the side of the building...it can be a little tricky to find.

Took the circuit boxing class with other a friend and we had a blast! Easy process signing up for the class, great energy throughout, and just an overall fun and invigorating way to get in a workout. If it’s your first time attending Jabs or you’d like to test the waters, your first class is free. It’s a great way to get a sense of the gym and see if it’s the place for you.

This was my first time taking a class like this.... And it was really really fun!! The music and the class were very energizing!! The instructor was awesome and encouraging!! And I feel like I had an awesome workout for the whole body.. my normal form of exercise is running approximately 3 1/2 miles in a set and this was an awesome change from that! I’m certain I will be returning😊👍🏼

This is an awesome place to train. It is high energy, comforting, and a welcoming environment to workout. I've trained at large gyms with lots of equipment, where your workout ends up interfering with the equipment and space other people are using to train. You never have to worry about that at Jabs. The personal trainers here have a really great system and the workouts are really effective. The personal attention, encouragement, and praise at Jabs has been exactly what I needed to keep me motivated.

My new favorite place. Took Kickboxing as my first free class, and bought the 21-day pass before I left. I've been there almost every day. Kinda obsessed. Hadn't been on a regular workout routine in almost a year, but I jumped in the Crosstrain classes, and it's exciting to see myself get better and stronger each session. Jabs has high-energy, skilled, and passionate instructors. Highly recommend! Everyone should try it.

My coworker introduced me to this place a year ago (Oct '18) and told me my first kickboxing class was free. I've always loved kickboxing and was so excited it was super close to work. The class was intense but you caught up quick. My calves were sore for a few days but I absolutely loved the workout and instructor. The people who attended the class was also so great, they were so welcoming and helping me wrap my hands correctly to protect my knuckles. After the class, I signed up for their unlimited month special - I think I went almost every day mostly in the mornings. After 3 weeks

The energy and intensity of the class was amazing! I went with a friend after checking out their website and was really intrigued. The reason I gave a 3-star rating was because of a few things. With us being new clients, it would have been nice to be acknowledged/greeted by the instructor on a personal level. They didn’t even check on us during the class to make sure we were using correct form. We also did a LOT of right arm work and focused little on the left side. A little more balance would have been nice. Once class was over, we expected someone to follow-up with us about coming back or just

Collaboration over competition is the mode for jabs gym. It's definitely a place that emphasizes team work. I've worked out with Armond when they (Terrance, Shawn, Candace and Armond) started Run This Town. It was a movement in the city for fitness and I was just returning to Detroit from Atlanta. I've meet a lot of amazing people through RTT so I will always support.

For me the most important part about visiting a business for the first time is the treatment I receive the moment I step in the door. The ladies at the front desk have a very warm and welcoming attitude. Jordan specifically makes a point to try to remember clients name and always greats you with a friendly smile. Going to a new gym first time is always a nerve wrecking experience, but I was immediately greeted as if I belonged which made me very comfortable. The instructor Armond was engaging, had great energy and was very motivating. My first class was free and i signed up for my first month

I was so excited to go to this gym. I bought a special for Black Friday and wasn't able to use it for several months. I didn't consider that the deal was expired. Once I inquired about redeeming it the owner was rude, laughed in my face, and had no intention of trying to find a solution. I have now wasted my money. He was very nonchalant about my concern for getting something for my money. I understand there are policies but there is something to be said for caring about the money your customers spend supporting your business. I'm disappointed in his lack of customer service and

I tried this gym for the first time this morning. The first class that you take is free, which is a good way to test it out and see if you like it. I must say, I am a fan. It was a very cardio intensive workout. I workout a lot (even though I kind of slacked off during the holidays) so I just knew I could handle it, but I had to take a couple breaks lol. You kind of just jump right in, but Armond is a great instructor and you can always look around at the regulars if you dont know the next move that gets called. I did the class at 7:00 am, it was a great way to start the day and get my Friday

I went here today for the first time, to the boot camp class (first one is free) The class was fun - lights are turned down low and black lights make colors glow. The music has a good beat, so it is easy to get focused on the movement.
Even though I was new, I was able to catch on quickly to the instruction. Overall, the workout kicked my butt! I am so tired right now! It was a good mix of cardio and strength.
The gym can improve is to make it more clear how much equipment costs. I want to go back, but it think that I saw a rental fee for the gloves. Not sure how I should plan when I go back

Just finished my second workout at Jabs and I really loved it. I like to think I'm in pretty good shape, and this was seriously really challenging. Cool though because it is not so exclusive that when I or someone else in the class couldn't finish out a set that it felt bad--just really positive energy from the whole staff and participants. Loved that there are so many bags, so everyone could actually have their own. This is a special place and next to eastern market--such a good Saturday am. I don't live here anymore but I'll def try to make another class work before I leave

I attended the free class available to new clients. I went with a group of girls and we had a great workout that was extremely motivating. The other reviews are right in that it is very fast pace, but the instructor shouts what the next move is and if you are confused at all you can follow the people around you. I liked how the room was black lit and dark, especially being new, it felt like you could give it your all and no one was judging you. It was a very high intensity workout with a lot of yelling and I would definitely go back. On a side note, one of the girls in our group lost her wedding

I have gone to a couple classes at Jabs and every time I leave having had a great workout!
The gym itself has a energizing atmosphere what with it being right downtown and overlooking Easter Market. The bathrooms and locker areas are always clean and accessible. The boxing area has many hanging bags to choose from and the added black light and upbeat music makes those early morning and late night workouts energizing.
Jabs offers many different types of classes at many different times to fit all schedules. All the classes offered have a boxing/kickboxing component with either a circuit training

I tried this place out when I was in town for work and looking to get in a workout. Overall, I would say it was just okay. The concept was really cool, I like the dark and the black lights. The location was nice too.
Unfortunately, I am only giving it three stars because there wasn't much instruction for a newbie (I box probably once a week, but had never been here before) and it's really hard to hear and see what the instructor is doing. I couldn't see the demonstration of the next sequence and since the microphone wasn't great, I had to watch what other people were doing

I purchased the $45 unlimited classes for 6 weeks special and I've been going to a few classes now, about 2-3 times a week. They have added a water fountain that has a bottle option, which is super handy, and I believe the other bathrooms are finished now. Classes are getting really full and most are already booked online - they always reserve a few spots for "walk-ins" but I hope they add a wait list soon!! They have also added a new teacher who does 3 more classes at night and I also hope they will add another night class on Thursday night.

I tried my first class, yesterday -- 6 pm Bootcamp.
I paid $5 for wraps, but the class itself was free and the $2 glove rental charge was waived.
First of all, a lot of the negativity I experienced may have been because this class was super crowded and there were a lot of walk-ins who weren't able to be in the class -- so remember to register online in advance.
When I approached the counter they could not find my online reservation even though I had registered before and even had a receipt. They made me step to the side for a good 10 min while dealing with other people. Finally, they acknowledged
