Catch the Son was started at Christ The Servant Lutheran Church in Bellingham, Washington, in 1985 to meet the needs of young families in our community and to provide a quality early childhood education program for young children. At that time, one teacher and 12 students met twice a week. Today, there are three teachers and 62 students meeting in five different sessions during the week.

Services
Catch the Son is a preschool program that seeks to promote the healthy development of children. Classes are designed to provide a variety of experiences that stimulate learning in all developmental areas - physical, social, emotional, intellectual and spiritual. We are a play-based preschool. Teachers encourage the students to play and facilitate social skills along the way.
Catch the Son is a COOPERATIVE school that depends on the efforts and participation of parents. Families who enroll their children here, do so because they want to be actively involved in the classroom and with the school as a whole. I will participate in the classroom as a "Parent Helper" the required number of days, for my child's class.
Catch the Son requires that children attending our school be immunized and does not accept immunization exemptions. We have many families in our school with new babies or toddlers, who because of their age, are not yet immunized or not fully immunized. These children are put at risk when we allow non-immunized children to attend our school.
The timeline is posted to the left. If there is space available in the class you'd like to register for, the preschool administrator will send you the electronic registration form and you must pay the $75 non-refundable registration fee. If there isn't space available in the class you'd like, the preschool administrator will notify you of your place on the waiting list.
DANA EVANS is our Lead Teacher and teaches the BLUE Pre-K class. This is her 21st year at Catch the Son. She joined our staff in 1997 after being involved for several years as a parent, board member, and substitute teacher. Dana attended WWU taking classes in Education. She and husband Reed have three grown daughters and two grandchildren!
