We stayed one night and were pleased with the experience. Alexander, the receptionist who checked us in was very accommodating and got us excited for our stay! It is in a great location and has adequate amenities. If you are looking for a quick place to stay I would recommend.

I've never been to a five star hotel, but Alex sure did treat us like we were staying at one. The room was nice, and the view was pretty good but it was the location that made me fall in love with this place! The BIG BUS tour picks you up less than 5 mins away, Sunnyside Dispensary is a 5 minute walk away, Harry Carays restaurant is a 3 minute walk away, Chicago theater is right around the corner.. The city has alot to see and Kinzie Hotel is kinda directly in the center of it all. They offer free continental breakfast every morning, and each night they do a lil happy hour where you can get

I stayed at the Kinzie hotel this past weekend with 3 girlfriends for a girls weekend. We stayed in a 2 queen room on the 4th floor. The room was nothing special but was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious enough for the 4 of us to get ready in to go out and the double shower head was a really nice touch! There was only one robe in the closet which was a bit disappointing for the number of beds (there goes an opportunity for an Instagram photo), but other than that, it was a nice space. We didn't end up eating breakfast that was provided on the 6th floor each

Enjoyed an amazing weekend with friends in downtown Chicago. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the season, the staff added to the cheer of the holiday season. Up until this weekend I've never had a reason to have Yelp, not big on spreading opinions. Although this experience warranted a reason to compliment Alexander at the front desk. He was not only polite but also made sure we all felt right at home. The hotel is centrally located to everything and he made sure we knew where to go for great food, also gave us detailed directions to all the spots we wanted to check out! Will definitely

Was a basic stay. Pros: Alexander was very personable and funny. My partner thought he talked to much but I enjoyed his hospitality. The dual shower heads were very nice. It's in a great location, even in the winter. Cons: the shower tub was kind of rusted. It would have also been cool to have 2 bathrobes in the room. Overall a good experience

Love this place! Me and my friend came for a weekend stay and it was perfect. The receptionist Alexander was the sweetest man ever and was so helpful with anything we needed whether it be umbrellas or snacks or extra robes. You also get complementary drinks at the bar which was a lovely feature. Plus it's close to everything fun there is to do by the river!!

Needs remodeling. Needs better communication with valet. We had to have the maintenance person come up two times just to turn off the air-conditioning in the room. It was 64° in the room when it was 55° outside. Torn blinds wallpaper coming up and noisy neighbors. No room service as stated. You have to order from a restaurant next-door and go down and pick it up. For the price that they charge per night I expect much better.

We were stuck between a couple of different hotels, but decided on Kinzie because of the price and location. We were able to walk everywhere we needed and the area felt very safe and fun! The people at the front desk were personable and welcoming. The best part by far was the complimentary happy hour from 5pm-7pm. The lounge area was smaller than I thought it would be, but can't really complain since the drinks were free. The bathroom and room were clean. The only issue was the bed wasn't the comfiest, but didn't take away from the experience much. Not a luxury hotel, but great bang

First of all, I'm laughing as I type this because this is pure comedy. I have worked in the hospitality industry working at the front desk, reservations, food and beverage, and event coordinating, for a long time, and eventually training in customer service within the hospitality industry all around the world. Probably the worst staff and service I've ever experienced and I've stayed at a lot of hotels because I travel for work. I don't even want to waste my energy listing all of the bad experiences I've had during my stay here. It's not even worth it. Please do not

The Kinzie is a smaller hotel at only six stories high, but is in a prime location in River North. It's walking distance to all of downtown Chicago's hot spots. Parking can be a challenge but the free daily reception makes up for some of the hassles. For two hours, they offer complimentary beer and wine for hotel guests. While there is no pool, I would recommend the Kinzie for people visiting the area.

First I want to say I'm very aggravated and not happy
With this hotel, stayed on 1/01/2021 paid for the night
And my girlfriend decided to stay another night and she said she paid for the night and now two months later are saying we didn't pay and took extra charge on my bank card and I spoke too so many different people and every person different story or they didn't know what they are doing and they are very rude and lack of customer service skills and not professional at all
And Andrew isn't friendly at all and he was kinda argumentative that we didn't pay and charged

Great place, central location and great staff. Plus the happy hour and gym are spectacular for a hotel. For happy hour, they keep it going during covid by giving you drinks to bring to your room. We appreciate they didnt skimp on the luxuries during the pandemic. They offer valet parking, but there are no in/out privileges and it's crazy expensive. There are plenty of lots available nearby via parking panda or other parking app. Overall, we stayed 4 nights and had no complaints.

Friendly and assistive staff. Good location that's walkable to most sights. Rooms were a good size with additional seating. Complimentary wine and beer during happy hour daily. The day we arrived systems went down so had to wait for a key card and walked to our room with the master key but the staff handled it as well as they could. There's also complimentary breakfast if you choose to partake. A plus for having free WiFi and mini fridge in the room.

I had the pleasure of staying here on a visit to Chicago and have nothing but nice things to say about the place. Not often do you look up hotels and see 4-5 star reviews across all review sites. On top of that, I was able to snag a bunch of points on Southwest by booking through them. Win win situation for me! Considering the central location and close proximity to almost all the touristy spots and restaurants, the price was super reasonable as well. We had a late check in and it was a quick process. I simply asked for a high room with a view and they were happy to oblige. Customer service

This is an epic hotel. I seriously didn't want to check out, everything about it was worth five stars. Let's break it down:

+ Friendly, efficient staff (I was checked in under two minutes)
+ Room service fare was actually pretty good, and beyond that, SUPER quick for room service
+ Comfortable beds
+ Good showers with quality shampoo/soap/water pressure
+ Outlets right by the bed
+ Full blinds to block out all the light
+ Clean as it gets
+ A great evening happy hour with beer, wine and snacks on the house
+ An average to slightly above average hotel gym with treadmills, free weights

Oh I just loved being back at the Kinzie. For anyone with a work outing/conference at the Mart, I highly recommend you try to stay here--it's so close!

The Kinzie is a boutique hotel with a nice city vibe. In fact, my room had wallpaper in it that's a street map of downtown Chicago. Though I might not have slept well on my first night, because I refused to close the curtains (didn't do that again on the second night), it was so worth it. The entire wall of windows reminded me of how I miss living in the city.

As for the room itself, it was comfy cozy. The bed was made for a good
