Prepare to wait. Having said that, I've been to many braiding shops and I've always had to wait an hour plus. It is what it is!
I got crochet braids for the first time. I had to bring the hair. Gege requested 6 packs. I only needed 4, but everyone is different. Make sure the beauty supply you choose to buy the hair provides refunds or store credit.
Once she got started, she braided and crochet very fast. I was done in less than 3 hours. The braids underneath were tight and neat. I'm very happy with the result and don't see myself going back to regular braids as these are

I thought it was going to be two people working on my head so it was a miss communication. I was there for 8 hours and couldn't believe it. My hair turned out so beautiful and I was very satisfied. The only reason why I won't go back is because they do more talking than working. Showing videos while the lady is working on my head. They need to do less talking and focus more on there work. Not one time did I get asked are you okay. So yes I love my hair but its some things they need to improve. It was my first & last time.

I have been getting my hair braided at GeGe Hair Salon for 10 years now. GeGe and her sister Edith are the best! They show up on time and heads are done by when your appointment was made. I typically try to go in on a weekday because I get micro braids done. Microbraids take 8 to 10 hours, so be patient. I have seen some inpatient customers in the chair next to me.
They will let you take a short break if needed. Also they are human too, so they need short breaks.
So sit back, watch some tv, and when you're done your hair will look gorgeous!

I have gone to Gege' for over 15 years and I will only go to Gege' to have my hair braided. Both her and her sister do an outstanding and professional job. I've only gotten braids done, but I have been in the shop when clients have gotten weaves/sew ins and the result has always been beautiful. I recommend anyone thinking of getting their hair braided whether for a special occasion, vacation or day to day break from doing your own hair to give Gege a call. I've always gotten compliments from Co workers, friends and family. I always leave pleased and the results last for months
