We are a family-owned outpatient orthopedic physical therapy practice operating out of Seattle for over 10 years. With clinic locations in Ballard and Frelard, we are able to serve patients living in neighborhoods all around north Seattle. At Salmon Bay Physical Therapy, we pride ourselves on providing personalized and high-quality patient care.

Our licensed physical therapists are expertly-trained and and spend the entire appointment with each and every patient, never handing off treatment to aides, technicians, or trainers. Through a combination of exercise, hands-on treatment, and education, our team works with our patients to help set and achieve rehab goals, no matter how large or small those goals may be.

Nobody knows your body better than you. That is why at Salmon Bay Physical Therapy we engage in a collaborative care approach, working together to meet your rehabilitation goals. Our primary mission is to provide you effective and high-quality physical therapy treatment. No matter the type of pain you are experiencing, our goal is to reduce and eventually eliminate discomfort in order to enhance your overall physical function.
Physical therapy examines and treats musculoskeletal injuries in order to reduce pain and improve function/performance. We prescribe therapeutic exercises tailored to strengthen or lengthen muscles and/or stabilize a particular set of joints. In some cases we perform manual therapy in order to improve joint mobility, muscle extensibility and/or decrease pain.

My family and I have been working with physical therapists at Salmon Bay PT for about the last ten years through a wide variety of sports injuries. Their staff have been wonderful with our kids as they moved through elementary, middle and high school, and with my wife and I. While we have mostly worked with Grant and Claire, the other PTs we have seen have all been excellent. They take the time to understand the injury each person is rehabbing from, and to put together a clear program for recovery with milestones. We love how they clearly explain why each exercise or stretch is going to help with

Have been going to Salmon Bay PT for over a year now and couldn't have better things to say about the whole business and specifically about my PT Grant H. From soccer injuries to running injuries - and general 'you're getting old' injuries - I've always felt like I was in good hands, whether virtual or in person as we've had to stay flexible during the pandemic. I'm so glad SBPT is in our community and would recommend them to anyone I know with the forcefulness of a soccer kick from a healthy hip flexor!

Andi has been a joy to work with on my postpartum journey. My original reason to visit was for pelvic floor rehab and she really knows her stuff. She made me feel very comfortable and helped me understand both what my body was going through and how to work with it not against it as I was healing. She provided easy to do exercises at home that worked with the tools I have in the house and didn't overwhelm my new parent life. PLUS - She wanted to know the WHOLE picture! I’m working with Nick on my lower back pain. Within a couple weeks, he found a simple exercise that immediately reduces my pain. He’s a great listener. We made a practical, sustainable, customized treatment plan. I also appreciate that he never implied my injuries are just because I’m out of shape or have a weak core. Very positive!

Grant did an very through bike fit with me and really took the time to explain in simple ways how and why he was adjusting everything! I essentially know nothing about bike maintenance or fitting and he was incredibly patient with me. Highly recommend he really knows his stuff and doesn’t rush you out the door!

Ishi was my therapist for a fractured right ankle. She provided excellent manual therapy to gain back my range of motion and we worked on regaining my muscular balance between my right and left legs. With a lot of hard work (it's up to you to do the exercises at home!), I have recovered from this injury and am back to participating fully in the sports I enjoyed previously. I also saw Sean as a substitute and he was equally great! Very pleased with my experience at Salmon Bay and highly recommend them!
