Little Steps Montessori is absolutely amazing. This school was suggested to me after I needed to find care for my then 2 year old. She had been in the care of family since she was an infant and as a first time mother, I was terrified at the prospect of leaving her with people I didn’t know personally. I toured the school and found the environment was clean and the teachers very friendly. I also love how diverse the staff is and the fact that it’s not a religious school. My daughter has flourished since she began attending school here. She came home singing her colors in Spanish and I was floored

We are going into our 3rd year at LSM and I cannot begin to express my gratitude to the teachers and faculty. They are so incredibly helpful and kind. I find my son coming home with new songs, skills, or things he has learned and can't WAIT to show me. He has gained a wonderful independence that I attribute to the Montessori teaching philosophies and the dedication of LSM teachers. We plan to keep our son at LSM for as long as possible. Thank you for everything you all do!

I found LSM by chance, really. It's on my daily commute to work and I just stopped in and asked more information. We did a trial run and 2 years later, we're still here! A few things about the school that continue, even after 2 years, to impress me:
1) This school is non religious. There are a lot of preschools in Richardson and the vast majority of them are based around some religion. I love that LSM does not do that. Being a school that focuses on it's Montessori work, and not a faith, has given the school a multi-national culture. The student, parent, and teaching bodies are diverse, with each

We attended Little Steps for two years. The first year was great but this last year was not good at all. I ended up pulling my children and calling state licensing after an incident with one of the teachers. While there for two years, my children regularly come home in other childrens' clothes and their clothes went missing. Rules would change on short notice (like the implementation of uniforms). I never saw the children washing their hands. There is no dedicated cleaning staff so the teachers are doing all the cleaning while trying to watch the children and any mom can tell you how

We moved our son from a regular day care facility to Little Steps a few months ago and we could not be any happier with the progress he's made in such a short time there. Within two weeks he was starting to use more words and recognize colors and numbers. Now after two months he gets great joy out of telling us what colors things are and how many of them there are, and it's all thanks to the great teachers at Little Steps.
The building is huge and very clean and the teachers care about their little students as much as a parent would. If you're considering putting your child in a Montessori school
