Shining Star Preschool provides opportunities for your child to explore, wonder, question, create and play, while engaging in age-appropriate learning activities. We utilize a "theme-based/letter of the week" curriculum that is reinforced in our various learning centers. We also incorporate and present sign language to the children.
We believe that a child learns through play. Our goal is to meet each child's needs in five important areas: spiritual, social, emotional, intellectual, and physical. Activities such as creative arts, math concepts, language development, science exploration, cooking, singing & creative movement, dramatic play, bible stories & songs, and prayer are all part of our day together.

To provide a safe, secure and nurturing environment that will help each child develop spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. To help each child experience the goodness of God's created wonders first-hand and to help them grow to know Jesus as their friend. To help each child develop his or her self-concept.
Our 2's class is designed to support the need for each child to play alone or with his/her friend. It's a setting that encourages a sense of family. The children enjoy story time, music & movement, and a variety of art exploration activities. They are learning to become part of a group, cooperation, and that school is fun!
The goal of our Pre-K programs is to foster independence which 4 & 5-year-old children want and need. We help children to use their independence wisely. Teacher-directed and self-directed activities are presented each day. They are learning to play more cooperatively with each other and to problem solve.
