Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home & Cremation Services
Coping with a loss is one of life's most difficult challenges. So it is comforting to know that over the years, families have trusted our funeral homes to arrange and conduct their funeral services, with compassion, kindness, and careful attention to every detail. Having that kind of confidence in a funeral home, knowing that your every wish and desire will be attended to, is so important in a time of sorrow.

It is natural to turn to a funeral home that has served Woodbury and Southbury, as well as the surrounding communities, for close to 200 years. When you are faced with planning a funeral, you would naturally want everything to be done perfectly. Choose the family owned and family operated firm that has earned your trust since 1822.
Services
We are a family owned business that takes great pride in being part of the Woodbury and Southbury communities since 1822. When Earle Munson purchased the funeral home, which was originally a furniture shop, he remained faithful in providing quality products and services to his friends and neighbors.
At Munson-Lovetere, our 5 licensed funeral directors all live locally and are available to assist you, any time of the day or night. Our professional Licensed staff includes Lissa Lovetere-Stone, the niece of the late Joseph P. Lovetere, Christine Morneault, Robyn Dostie Esposito, Jennifer Castonguay and Rachel Lenoir.
We have created and designed our two funeral home locations to surround your family and visitors with the richness of history and the comfort of long tradition. Families find solace in our Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, a designated historical structure that has always been a funeral home, but was also the residence of the cabinet maker who made the caskets for the funeral home.
When you make your selections with us, we listen carefully, taking into account your needs, desires, and the customs and traditions of your family. Your service will be as personalized as you wish to make it, and will be a true commemoration of the life of your loved one. We will work with you on any special request you have to ensure the service reflects the life that was lived.
With cremation, there are just as many options as traditional burial. You and your family may choose from many beautiful types of ceremony options, such as a memorial service or funeral to share memories and offer comfort, burial of cremated remains in an urn section, or retaining the cremated remains in a beautiful urn or other decorative container.
