Jungle Red Salon

I’ve been to this salon twice within the past 2 or 3 months! Its clean, welcoming, most of the girls are very kind, however, I feel as if my most recent time I was especially ripped off of my service in some ways, and didn’t necessarily meet my expectations as a whole. I asked for a full highlight, the color on top of my head (roots) is just fine, however, I feel as if my underneath pieces were abandoned and still left brassy, in which I was especially hoping to have fixed since I booked with a level 5 stylist. The service was good, but the girls at the front desk were very immature and rude. I distinctly remember one had a very short blond pixie cut. My daughter and I went in for a cut, and I waited for her in the lobby. As I waited these two girls were whispering and laughing. I could really care less if they were talking about me, but my concern was my daughter. When she came out I went in with the same hairdresser. Before I went in I asked my daughter if she wanted to wait in the car because I didn't want her to feel uncomfortable in the lobby with those two. She chose to wait in the lobby

I wanted something new with my hair so I decided to call and book an appointment they said it would be $150-$175. When I got there they were very friendly and professional. I told my stylist what I wanted and she said she could do it. She was pretty aggressive putting in the color. When we went to wash it she didn’t get all of the color out and it was all over my clothes,neck, and face. When she blow dried it, it was not the color I wanted and she didn’t put any color on my ends or the color just didn’t take. She told me I could come back in and she would fix it for free. Jungle Red is pretty pricey, but you get what you pay for. I had Elizabeth as my stylist and she is newer and still did a fantastic job. My hair looks and feels so great. Highly recommend this salon!

Ashley B does a phenomenal job on my hair every time! She's always very thorough in her questioning at the beginning to make sure she gives you exactly what you want! She truly cares about each and every one of her clients and I won't trust anyone else with my hair! The salon itself is absolutely wonderful, they give you coffee or tea while you wait and the lobby area is always so beautifully decorated for the holidays. Your experience is worth the price you pay for sure. High quality service all around.

Well - cloud nine didn't last too long. What good is a good first experience to sell a client on the salon if you can't retain your clients. I was really happy here initially but unfortunately it appears this salon is about sales and money more than anything else.
In 3 appointments, I spent close to $400.
I tipped my stylist $30 my first appointment and $20 for the two following and was happy to do so. I took care of her well. During my last appointment, I came in to cover a 1 inch in width x 4 inch length section of bang that ended up brighter than the rest of my hair... they

I've never been disappointed when leaving Jungle Red! My hair always feels ourished and soft even after lightening. The stylists make great conversation and are clearly very knowledgeable in their craft and the products they carry. Attached photo done by Julia and her associate Hope!

Mattie did a great job! I had no idea what was possible with my current mess of a hairstyle, but she took the pictures I brought (I was being hopeful but unrealistic with what I chose) and she turned them into something that I am quite happy with. I had the best experience here! Thank you Julia for the amazing job on my hair! I was so nervous going in because it was a big change for me (seven inches!) but everyone there was really nice and the staff was helpful in waking me through every step of the process. Julia made my hair look so great and I love the results. I will definitely be back when it comes time to touch every thing up ❤️❤️ please give Julia the recognition she deserves!

Today, Dana cut my hair. I love it! The whole experience, starting with the check in through to the check out was great. Dana talked with me about my hair, what I wanted, what my problem areas were, and offered her opinions about what would be easy to care for and would look nice. Christa, her associate, took care of the shampoo, which included a relaxing scalp massage. I booked my next two appointments before I left. Thank you, Dana and Christa!

I enjoy this salon. I have been a few times for eyebrow waxing and once for hair cut. I like the online scheduling. I had a great hair cut by Alessandra. Prices are slightly high, but overall it's a good experience.

Love this place!! I'm from out of state traveling right now and wanted to cut my hair a little shorter than I'm use to. I had ALLY (who was so nice!) cut it and did exactly what I wanted!! The service overall was so great and the salon is very cute!! I highly recommend

I have been trusting Alli with my hair since she was in school, and I’ve continued to trust her because she’s an amazing hair stylist, she listens to what I want and will give honest feed back and ideas. I showed the picture to my stylist (Kaeli) and it was a picture of a girl with ash brown highlights and she immediately assumed I wanted a balayage. I specifically told her I wanted the dimension of the dark and the ash brown color because I curl it a lot. trusted her and maybe thought she understood what I wanted. We didn't spend to much talking about it..She applied the bleach...and toned and washed me out. Walked back to the station and she gave me a crappy trim (took her maybe 3mins) because I watched how she did it ... then she started to blow dry and turned me away from the mirror..

I had a wonderful experience at jungle red! Everyone was incredibly nice. Kylie was my stylist and did a fantastic job with my highlights. I came in feeling dull and left with a much brighter look! First, they have online appointments which are wonderful. I took a pic in of the cut I wanted, a longer inverted bob, and had selected full foil. Sarah D. advised me that I didn't need full, but only partial. She advised a toner treatment, as well. She did exactly what I asked for, and the color was perfect! She described the products she was using as she used them, and the benefits of each. There are few stylists who can do a bob right, but she will nail it. It's not necessarily the cheapest place to go, but you'll get your money's worth.

Easy to book appointment online and was able to get in the next day!
I got over 10" of hair cut off and the stylist Jenny did a fantastic job! She asked what I wanted and listened, taking care to explain what she was doing. After cutting my hair, Jenny showed me different hair styles and products I could use with my new hair. The facilities are incredibly nice and tastefully decorated and the staff are all very genial. Really impressed with Jungle Red Salon and would recommend again and again. For someone who dreads haircuts, this salon put me at ease and took fantastic care of me.

Was early to salon for my 3:30 blowout appointment. Wasn't taken back till just after 4:00. Explained to stylist up front that I was attending a ball with my husband that started at 6:00 and showed her pictures of exactly what I wanted for my hair.

Left salon at 5:15 with hair that looked nice, but nothing like pictures I showed stylist because it was so late that I didn't have time to wait for her to fix. Ended up being late to ball because of salon's delays and slow service, which reflected poorly on my husband since this was a work event.

Definitely will not be back again

I've been to this salon twice. Once for a blowout before my family photos and once to style my hair for a wedding. I was so impressed with both experiences. My last trip I worked with Brittany who was wonderful. I have recently cut my hair quite short and was unsure how to style it. She was wonderful to work with and even took the time to teach me some tricks.

Went in for the first time last week. My cut was good but feel I was taken advantage of with a retail purchase. Stylist suggest a shampoo and they were on sale. I paid $37 for a liter which is a good price. But I tried something new to me and once I got home and tired it once I wanted to return it. I tried to return it in less than 24 hours and was told retail purchases could only be exchanged for another product. There was no sign near the register and no one mentioned that when I bought it. Could not be more thrilled to have found this Salon. I have lived here in Cincinnati for nearly 3 years and was running up to MI for a majority of that time because I had yet to find a Salon that fit my needs, until today!

I made my reservation online (love that!) and choose Jackie. I needed some corrective color help and she was outstanding!! My hair looks fantastic!

I love this salon! Jackie T has been doing my hair for years and she is the only person I trust with my hair. I recently moved to Columbus and still drive down for the quality of this salon. I highly recommend this salon!

45 minute lobby waits with hidden up-charges. You aren't a priority as they're trying to squeeze you into a spot while working on a number of other clients at the same time. Not to mention the fact that it's high traffic salon based on it's location therefore each client is seen as easily replaced. After years of being a loyal client, following from salon-to-salon.. You mean as much as the next person. Don't let it's new and updated appearance fool you.

I just started going to JR fall 2016 and have already been a few times for many different things! Jessica always does an awesome job on my hair. The salon is very chic and clean. Everyone is extremely nice and friendly. Great vibes throughout. I recommend it any chance I get!

Another great find thanks to Living Social/Grupon!! (Guess I might just be a hermit if I didn't buy these and venture out every now and then...!! ;-) Got a late evening appt. w/ Jason, and he diagnosed my sad, over-fried hair as needing the Moroccan deep conditioning treatment (heaven!!) as much or more than the moisturizer, which was on the original L.S. offer.
