Services
Eric helps keep active adults and athletes healthy by finding solutions to their problems, after an injury or surgery, so they can live their lives with purpose. He was first introduced to physical therapy as an injured youth athlete, in hopes of returning to competitive basketball.
After dealing with his own severe health issues as a young adult, and when as a college basketball player suffering an injury requiring a major surgery, physical therapy changed his outlook on keeping active and healthy. After that, he switched majors and never looked back. After becoming a PT, he worked in several different clinics where quantity of patients seen ranked higher than quality provided.

At Bloom Performance & Rehab, we keep members of the Mesa-Gateway community active and healthy by finding solutions to their problems, so they can get back to doing what they love. When pain and problems like low back pain, knee pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, foot pain or ankle pain appear, it's tempting to think "it'll go away if I just rest" or even pretend like it never happened.
Are you still looking for a long-term solution so you can finally get back to your favorite activities? Many people in Mesa suffer unnecessarily with back pain and stiffness because they're told. Resting it doesn't change anything. You might get a small temporary relief, but then when you get active again you'll still be suffering from back pain and stiffness (I bet you've already experienced it!)
Strength is your ability to produce force against an external resistance. The more force you can produce, the stronger you are. Since everything we do with our bodies as we interact with our environment is some application force, strength is the most important attribute in our physical existence and the foundation on which all other physical attributes are built.

I started last year as a physical therapy patient and have continued on to strengthen training this year. Unlike most physical therapy clients, I wasn’t working on an injury, but a long-term issue. With their assistance, I have been able to do things I never thought possible! I love the personalized care I receive at Bloom Performance & Rehab! I would never go anywhere else!

Bloom performance, they are by far the best PT in Airzona. I know from experience. I raced mountain bikes, and Dirtbike. I definitely had my fat share of injuries. Which Eric and the wonderful people here were able to take care of me. I also found out I had spindalothesis, and also had a injury turn into compartment syndrome. 2 things I have never heard of. But at Bloom performance. They acted like pro's. They knocked my recovery out of the park. Eric works to get you out of PT. Not to keep you coming back. That's many things I loved about them. He set me up with at home

I have had 3 surgeries on my shoulder due to a sports injury. It was to the point that I could barely lift my arm. I was told by my orthopedic surgeon that I was looking at a shoulder replacement. Eric did dry needling on my shoulder and as soon as I sat up from the table I could lift my arm above my head. I have continued to see him to strengthen my shoulder, and during this time I started having issues with migraines, something I have suffered with for years.
I saw my PCP and even an ENT, both of them disagreed on how to properly treat the issue. Eric again did some dry needling, this time on

I have been going to Bloom Performance and Rehab on and off for the past 5 and a half years due to a career-ending work accident requiring multiple surgeries. When I first started seeing Eric he told me that that I had some nerve damage along with the bone and tendon damage. It took approx 20 months and 4 doctors for them to figure out the same thing. Eric and his staff have always been very thorough in my therapy, even going as far as working with my physicians and personal trainer. Eric and his staff are very professional and treat every patient like family. I can't say enough to recommend Eric

Bloom Performance did not practice Covid restrictions that I observed. The owner and his partner did not wear masks, they did not clean the equipment between patients and did not use sanitizer. I asked my therapist to wear a mask which he did but below the nose. My PT did not abide by my doctor's script of not using bands to strengthen during my first month. I was given bands to work with almost immediately. When I changed therapists I explained to Bloom Performance my reason which was that I did not like their Covid practices. Then when I went to pick up my script for my new therapist I noticed

Bloom Performance & Rehab has been amazing in helping me recover from my total knee replacement. Eric and his staff are very involved with my recovery. At the end of every session Eric has a one on one conversation with me about my progress. I feel like they really care about their patients and understand when something is not right. I see them cleaning/disinfecting the equipment every time I am there. They follow the current CDC Guidelines concerning Covid. I would highly recommend them for physical therapy.

I received the best therapy on my knee from Bloom Performance after knee surgery. Eric and his team (Especially Chad) know exactly what to do to help expedite the healing process. They are patient and they help you to listen to what your body is telling you it needs. You instantly feel like family when you walk through the door. I'm proud to call them friends now. They go above & beyond to help you heal; even more than your specific injury. Chad helped me with neck & back pain when he didn't have to; even staying late some nights to accommodate my work schedule...... GO THERE!

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience with this provider. He caused a significant injury to my SI joint. He sprained my SI joint, causing swelling and inflammation surrounding my spinal nerves, where I had existing herniated discs. I was bed bound for months, greatly limited, and in more pain than I had ever been in, because of this injury that would have been easily avoided if this provider would have stopped to take the time to listen to me, his patient. I specifically told him several times to stop putting pressure on my lower back/SI joint, that the pressure he was using was too much and

I came across Bloom Performance after I had been newly transitioned to working from home due to COVID. I had not been working ergonomically and really tweaked my neck and shoulder. My physical therapist was great at evaluating & educating me, giving me exercises that could be done at home, and got me back to 100%
I was so pleased that I wanted to continue my physical therapy journey to address other problem areas with my hips and low back. I find Chad & Eric, along with the techs, to be very knowledgeable, intuitive, and kind. I always feel heard and receive explanations and treatment

Bloom Performance & Rehab is a far cry from the typical large mill PT clinic — when I come in for my visits, I don’t feel like another piece of meat to be processed — Eric, the owner, has created a great client-focused environment — I consider Chad, my physical therapist, to be a superb top-notch therapist — he came highly recommended by my orthopedic surgeon (Dr Brad Cucchetti) — I’m fresh off major rotator cuff surgery (supraspinatus tear, subscapularis tear, bone spur removal, bicep tendon clean-up) — because of Chad’s many years of experience he knows exactly what techniques

Bloom Performance and Rehab has helped me to rehabilitate my total knee replacement in a way which has far exceeded my expectations. Their personalized plan has been tailored to meet the needs of a knee which has been stiff for over 15 years. After my surgery, they have worked with me in an encouraging manner, yet being firm enough to let me know that it takes hard work to achieve my goals. We are already well past what the prognosis was from my surgeon. Thank-you to the team at Bloom for doing such excellent work. I highly recommend them for all your therapy needs.

I would highly recommended "Bloom Performance and Rehab", if you are in need of Physical Therapy. My wife and I, were referred there a few years ago, and we wouldn't consider any other facility, for our PT. Our friend, Kathy, had ankle surgery, and Eric Bloom (the owner), helped her immensely. My wife, Cindy, had Rotator Cuff surgery, and once again, they worked on her until she was back to her old self. I am there now, for PT on my hip. They are doing a great job. Cindy will be going back, following knee replacement surgery. "Bloom Performance Rehab" has, and will continue

Reducing back and side pain is very important to my quality of life, so that I can continue a reasonably active lifestyle. I've been to physical therapy at least 5 times in my life so I have a feel for what is important. I did quite a bit of research for finding the best physical therapist for me in the Mesa area. I even had a paid evaluation done by another physical therapist who had the kind of credentials that I was looking for. However, I really desired to have more 'active' involvement by the lead DPT in my regular treatment. Then I found this place, where the lead DPT, Eric

I need to get back in and see these guys! I would recommend them to anyone. I was in a bad car accident years ago and tried everything for relief. I was ready to give up on feeling whole again when I had to go in because I was just in so much pain. I've been to other PT's and they seemed to aggravate my injuries. But the Doc here did something completely different. He used a needling technique, some very fine stretching of the nerves in my feet and legs, I didn't even know he was treating me, I just thought he was testing out where I hurt and then all the sudden he asked me to stand

After having heat pack applied to the neck muscles, the therapist starts manual therapy with the coldest ice hands I have ever dealt with. How can you gain muscle relaxation to manipulate the muscles? For their evaluation interview and exit interview questions, this company has the most non related vague questions regarding my pain and their services.

PPT is amazing! The clinic director Dr. Eric Bloom is highly specialized with a deep understanding of pain and neuroscience. I have been seeing Dr. Bloom for awhile now and I can honestly say he is the best PT! He has a great relationship with his patients, myself included. He believes in treating the problem not just masking the symptoms. If you need physical therapy, call and make an appointment, you will not be disappointed!
