The Lind Family and associates wish to express our deep gratitude for the confidence, friendship and trust you have placed in us. We are honored to be of service to you and pledge to continue to serve to the best of our ability, with professional care and genuine concern each time we are called.

All of us at Lind Funeral Home offer special thanks for the steadfast guidance of our founders, the late Bernhard F. and Dorothy E. Lind, who with great faith and vision established the business in 1941.Please feel free to browse our pages to learn more about pre-planning a funeral and grief support, as well as the traditional funeral and cremation services that we have to offer.
Services
Beginning in 1941, Bernhard F. Lind first started accepting families into his South Main Street home in Jamestown, NY. For 18 years he proudly opened his doors to all families of the Jamestown area regardless of their religious faith. In 1957 Bernhard Lind moved his family home to West Third Street to continue its service to the families of Jamestown.
Directions from the North: From Buffalo take I-90 west to exit 59 (Dunkirk/ Fredonia) to route 60 South. Follow Route 60 to Jamestown. Route 60 becomes Main St. in Jamestown. Follow Main St. to Third St. Turn right. After the fourth stop light the funeral home will be located on your left on the corner of Third St. and Hall Ave.
Family and friends getting together to honor a loved one's life is one of the most important steps in the grieving and healing process. You may opt to have a traditional religious or military service, or as more and more people are doing, you can choose to have a non-traditional 'life celebration'.
A funeral is a ceremony for a deceased person prior to burial or cremation. A funeral gives the opportunity for family and friends of the deceased to gather and mourn the passing of their loved one, to share cherished memories and celebrate their life. A funeral is a vital first step to help the bereaved heal after the loss of someone special.
After a death, there are many legal details to hammer out. While it is not necessary to get a lawyer, it is strongly recommended. A lawyer will make sure all the 't's are crossed and i's are dotted. The time following a death of a loved one is extremely emotional, and even the closest family will have disagreements over the most trivial matters.

This funeral home was wonderful when my husband ,Gary passed away. I was in shock and they couldn’t have been kinder and more patient. They made me feel like my family had chosen the very best for Gary.
Gary Kindberg is a very kind and wonderful funeral director.

I cannot say enough about how amazing the people here are. They made an incredibly difficult time so much easier. They absolutely went out of their way to get everything done properly, even during this weird time of COVID.
