We stand behind our reputation and will continue to serve our community with the values instilled by our funeral directors. Founded in 1896 in the Village of Westfield, the Carpenter Funeral Service was the trusted name in Funerals for over 59 years. Emma Carpenter and her son Carlton, "Carpy", as he was known by all, were charged with the care of Westfield's departed sons and daughters.
Michael K. Blodgett, is a graduate of Penn State and Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. Mr. Blodgett has over 39 years of experience in the Funeral Profession in Pennsylvania, Florida and New York State. He is very well respected by his peers as a truly professional and innovative Funeral Director.

This WAS our go to for my family and close friends during difficult times of loss. This is an establishment that will never be used by myself or any family again. Awful “bedside” manner, it’s not very professional to demand money from a deceased’s persons child in front of others on the day of viewing in open public. Also, my grandmother had prearranged EVERYTHING from payment in full to the casket. Which, the new owner took upon himself to not abide by. Very discusting and very poor professionalism! Never in my life have I dealt with someone that seemed more interested in money than the
