I saw Amanda for the first time today. My hair is wavy, thick, and very long and she did a fantastic job lightening up the weight and making my hair happy and healthy again. She didn't pressure me into dying out my grey or into buying products. I have an appointment scheduled for my daughter in 2 weeks and I plan to schedule an appointment for myself again in a couple of months!

I just had a wonderful appointment with Amanda Myrick who was very sweet and friendly and she did a great job! I love how pretty the shop is and they also have great products. I was looking for a new salon since we just moved here, and I think I found it! This is now my go to place! So happy!

My stylist at Penton House is Angi Cheeseman. She is awesome. I have been going to her for about 30 years. She always does an excellent cut and color! She has kept me with an updated look that makes me look my best for my face shape. Angi has taken me from long to pixie and back! Always looking great on me and keeping my color in blonde shades with changes to go with my age. I'm always foiled for a very natural look ( highlights/low lights). In my opinion from age 30 to 66, she always considers my age, with color and cut( I asked her to try and keep me looking younger and age appropriate)

Took my 30 year old daughter in for an hour massage, she was in the room for 40 minutes. The girl was extremely rude and acted as if she was being inconvenienced. No massage at all, barely "rubbed her hands" across my arms and back. Told her I had stress in my shoulders and neck, she didn't even touch my neck, barely touched my shoulders. After no massage at all, and cutting it 20 minutes short. She had the audacity to up charge my "massage " $15 !!
we have been to penthouse in the past and loved it. But it has gone completely dn hill!!! Don't waste your time or money

I love going here! great atmosphere. Bri has helped me get this mop under control. I have sensitive scalp, but Bri has taught me how to treat my hair and scalp better. Very knowledgeable and ALL the ladies are so sweet there. Me and my mini (3yr old) loves visiting and getting the full treatment. My hair has never looked more healthier and better than now since Bri has been helping me!

The first visit was great! Then I scheduled to curl my hair with the stylist . When I showed up at the studio . They switched another stylist to curl my hair without informing me ahead! She is very sweet, but my hair did not get curled at all! I can tell she is not experienced to curl my hair. She had to ask her coworker to apply the solution! A few hours good chat. Unfortunately my hair is still straight! No professional service! 😹

I have lived in Pace for two years and was given a gift card to this place. I am moving and decided to use my gift card on a mani pedi before leaving.
I sat down to begin my service for a European Pedicure and Manicure..which was really more just a wetting of my feet/hands and polish. No cuticle removal, no exfoliation, no callus removal, no dry skin removal. My cuticles were pushed down, polish was applied, and I was out the door.
I was actually BAFFLED that they were about to try to charge me $70 for this service. I felt

I was recently moved to Pensacola and ask a lady where there was a hair salon and she said that there was a very good one called Penton house nearby. I called an got an appointment for the next day. I had an appointment with Shelly for a haircut.She was a very pleasant and friendly lady. I got the best haircut I have ever gotten and was very impressed with Shelly.Shelly is extremely talented and very skilled. I look forward to seeing her again really soon

I have had my hair cut here and the cut wasn't terrible. But I have very curly hair and the stylist used a blow dryer and just made it ridiculously frizzy and I had an appointment right after and actually had to go home and wash my hair and fix it because the style was so embarrassing. I know it is hard to style my type of hair. I specifically told the stylist that I never use straighteners or hair dryers because my hair is so dry and damaged.

I've gone here multiple times and I see Danielle. I think this place is great. They are very sweet, clean, and the place is beautiful. My hair always looks great after I leave here. I've only ever spoke with one person (whose name evades me) that was a little grumpy. Other than that my only complaint is...they're so good at what they do that it can SOMETIMES take a bit of time to get an appointment. (which is rough for me when I don't know my schedule in advance.) I highly recommend this place for hair color and cuts.

Buyer beware. I went online to check out gift cards for my wife's Birthday. Saw the spa treatment she wanted and the price. When I went to the Salon to order the card, I was quoted a price of $13 more. I was told the price online indicates the starting price, but we have no one working at that price level.
So, depending on the massage tech's length of time working at the Penton House, dictates the price of the massage. The person behind the counter said experience didn't influence the price, but the length of service.
Bottom line. The price online is misleading and arbitrary

I am still coming to Penton House after years because they are consistent. I drive from Robertsdale to Pace to see Alice or Angie normally and both are excellent. The other stylist are good too but I normally just stick to these two. Every time I come my hair is done well. Never any issues and I am very picky! They are a local business who have done well based upon their philosophy of treating their customers well. I highly recommend!

I had a particularly bad experience in Enterprise, AL and Alice was able to rectify it. I had gone into a salon in Alabama with dark brown hair stating that I wanted to go to a natural mousey brown/blonde hair. Eventually I wanted to go lighter but that was already going to be hard enough on my hair. I then specified natural, no chunks. The girl then proceeded to highlight my dark brown hair as light blonde as she could go with huge chunks of highlight. My hair stylist from Michigan called Redken and explained what happened and they put me in touch with Alice.

Penton House is a great salon. I've been there many times in the past year, mainly for haircuts, but I've also had a massage and a manicure. All of my experiences have been good there. If you have any problems with the work you've had done just ask for Alice, the owner, she'll make sure things are put right.

I tried Penton House for an eyebrow wax. The staff were very friendly and the environment is welcoming. I was able to get an appointment the same day. Their services seem reasonably priced.
As far as the eyebrow wax: Sophie was very friendly and caring, however she did a terrible job. After the wax, my eyebrows were asymmetrical and had no arch. She plucked from areas that were already thin, leaving me with bald spots. My husband even noticed when I went back home - and he never notices things like that!
I won't be back for eyebrows... maybe I'll try one of their other services
