Sensei Luis has been training in Martial Arts since he was 5 years old. He has trained in different styles of Martial Arts, and holds the rank of Renshi (5th degree) in Shotokan Karate and Shaolin Kempo, in which he holds the rank of 4th degree Black Belt. He graduated from the University of California Irvine, graduating with a Degree on Applied Science.
The Martial Arts is a fun and enjoyable discipline that millions of people practice thought the world. It is designed to build endurance, better your health, teach you to become more focused, disciplined, and to learn how to manage your emotions. It also happens to be very foreign to people that have never practiced, and it can, at some times, be a little scary to try.
We want to give you a small introduction to what your first day at the studio will feel like so you know what to do, and how. Located in the Corner of Alicia and Muirlands in the city of Mission Viejo, by the CVS Pharmacy and I Love Bagels. Located down the street from the Mission Viejo Mall, directly in front of the Lexus Dealership and Next to Santora's Wings.
At all times be sure to follow these principles. If you continue to follow them, it will be easier for you to learn, and for all of your partners to benefit from the training also. Do not disrupt the flow of a class by interrupting the instructor with too many questions. If you have further questions let your instructor know in advance.
Our studio in Alicia is located at 24170 Alicia Pkwy. in the city of Mission Viejo, CA 92692. You can find us down Alicia Parkway, at the Vista Paint Plaza, directly in front of CVS/Pharmacy. We've been coming here for the last four years, and we're so happy. We feel like family. Both of my boys (7 and 9) take karate here, and they both enjoy the group classes as well as sparring, grappling and private classes. They are learning discipline and respect as well as gaining confidence in themselves . My oldest son also comes to the younger kids' classes to assist and help around the studio because he loves to be there. I'm also taking private lessons for kickboxing and group karate lessons, and I've gotten so much stronger and confident. It's really fun to learn how to defend yourself and

My two older kids started with USSD Mission Viejo several years ago. Sensei Luis and the USSD family have fostered in my kids a love for martial arts through fun activities , hard work, and self discipline. After many years of observing my kids grow stronger in mind and body, my husband and youngest are now signed-up and learning the art. Thank you mission Viejo USSD for being so flexible and working with my families ever changing schedule.

My 10 year old would not stop talking about what he worked on in his karate class today. He has been training at this school for about a year and the difference in his behavior is really something. He is more focused and can concentrate longer on homework and other tasks.
The instructors are really good with the kids. They set very high standards for the children to meet but still make them feel happy and engaged.
I highly recommend this school, run by Luis and Lori, to anyone looking for a way to help their child grow in to a better person.
