Beautiful sunset on the deck. Wrapped in blankets and outdoor heaters going, we thoroughly enjoyed our drinks and had great hummus and veggies. Hidden gem in Morro Bay. Tracey who served both our drinks and food was a total delight and made our visit so much fun.

It was my first time at the hotel and I thought I would have loved it. I was so sad not to. It's in a great location and cute from the outside. I was really disappointed in the room, it was super tiny! You can literally hear everything outside (people partying at the pool late) and your neighbor's toilet flushing. The bed is really uncomfortable, there was 3 uncomfortable pillows, and the room was just dirty. The floor was filthy, the shower had hair and the windows were gross. The fridge was also dirty and no microwave. I would love to try again, but I just can't with the uncomfortable

Very disappointed. Tried to check-in after a 6 hour drive only to find out that the power was out city wide and would not be on for another 5+ hours. No call was given so we could make alternate arrangements and mo real assistance in getting reservations elsewhere. Nothing close heading north in our travel direction. We had look for hotels backtracking south and inland, not on the coast which was the whole point of going up highway 1.

Location is nice for golfing but the hotel is a little dated. Rooms are decent but small and bathroom was very small. Restaurant view is amazing and staff there was very good. Tired of the covid use for not cleaning rooms or even delivering towels as requested. That excuse seems to just be saving them money.
The bed needs to be replaced as lumpy. I'd stay again for golf (right across street) but no other reason.

One of the best spots for a beautiful sunset! Nestled at the base of the Morro Bay golf course right inside the state park entrance. Enjoy a cocktail in the lounge area with picture windows viewing boats docked in the water viewing the Morro Rock. I've eaten in the lounge, great clam chowder and a tasty rueben sandwich. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with fresh local ingredients.

This review is for the restaurant. Views are good, but we live here so nothing new. Food was meah and reminded me of bar food. Tuna tower tasted like the tuna had been frozen for too long prior, not much flavor at all to the fish. Everything else was really mediocre minus the strong cocktail. We wanted to try a spot outside of our normal go to's like the Galley or Porthouse. Would be awesome if they did a happy hour drink special with cheap bites.

The room was the smallest we've ever stayed in. We had to move the chair and lamp to use the closet. The bathroom had the sink outside of it, so there was no trying to get ready while the other person rested. The bed was absolutely horrible! I woke up at 3 am and sat in the chair because the bed was so bad. All in all, this was a real disappointment, we had stayed here a few years back and it was great, but I guess time has taken it's toll.

The view is fantastic, the rooms are fine, and they felt clean when we got there. But the service is absolutely terrible. Check-in was inhospitable, we requested maid service that never came, the towels-- there were only two of them--are from the 1990s, and there were three bottles of conditioner, no shampoo, and no body wash in our room. To add insult to injury, there were four pods of decaf and two of green tea. You would think, for almost $300 a night, that they would be able to stock the room appropriately. It's really too bad, because I want to love this little inn with the gorgeous view

We had a wonderful stay at the Inn at Morro Bay. We stayed in building 5 with our little dog. The room was clean and spacious. The front desk staff were very polite and knowledgeable. The view in front of our room was stellar. Though many complain about the beds which are softer than I generally prefer we really loved them. We highly recommend staying here and will book a room here every time we are visiting Morro Bay!

So disappointed! An older hotel that we stayed at in Carmel right before this was a better value.
This hotel is very over-priced combined with extra high occupancy taxes.
They do not provide any breakfast free or otherwise. (Using Covid fear as an excuse to get out of offering breakfast.)
The floors have no sound proofing or are super thin such that you hear constant thumping of your overhead neighbors. They need a major renovation to fix that poor design/construction.
The room does not have a desk. Most people even when traveling for leisure still need to keep up with work. You need a place

We booked the Inn on a whim and I was honestly a little nervous after looking at the Yelp reviews. But, we went ahead with it and I am so glad we did!
Everything was clean, staff were cordial, and it's such a great location. About a 20 minute walk to the downtown area, 30 to the Rock. Right inside the State Park, 10 min drive from beautiful hiking trails and next to an awesome golf course. They also have bike rentals and complimentary helmets!
The restaurant was ok for dinner, but the views were fantastic and staff were pleasant. Would be great if they could have breakfast at some point

First time visiting Morro Bay and wanted to have a lovely experience. You would think spending $400 on a room that experience would be greater. Absolutely false. Two measly pillows for the bed, the bathroom reeked of urine (so disgusting), the right side of the room/bed had a foul smell, the refrigerator smelled bad. I could only imagine if they had microwaves (YES..no microwaves in rooms).
That said, all above listed was mentioned to the front desk. All I got back was...sorry. Sorry doesn't make up for your first experience exploring a new place.
I do not recommend this hotel.

It was our first time visiting Morro Bay and I spent hours searching for hotels/inns to stay at. The Inn at Morro Bay seemed to be the only one that offered a view that wasn't overly priced. The staff was friendly, the parking was accessible, and the rooms were clean. This Inn is about 5-10 minutes from their main downtown area. We brought our bike cruisers since we were road tripping the coast and the streets were very hilly, but this hotel was a great location that gave us the option to be adventurous!
**One thing I would add - the walls/doors are very thin, so you can hear everyone who

We stayed there just one night, but we loved the room, and they gave rooms pet friendly. We could stay there with our little dog. I just hoping for breakfast, but I think because the pandemic time, the restaurant was closed. The place is the same place Hitchcock made the movie The Birds. You can see them on the gol of trees.

This is a review of the restaurant only. Came here tonight and sat out on the outdoor terrace overlooking the bay. Beautiful view.
Ordered a bunch of appetizers and the fish and chips as the only entree. Had tuna tower, Caesar salad, greens and pear salad, calamari, Mac and cheese and sliders.
Everything was fresh and hot (except the salads).
Service was a bit slow since the restaurant only opened back up one week ago and they are understaffed.
Not great but very solid. Thanks for dinner!

We booked a room for a staycation. Our room was clean, but there were no extra towels or pillows, the beds are kind of high off the ground. It's fine for me, but if someone has mobility needs, this could be a problem. The closet door came off the hinges when I opened it completely. I caught it before it hurt someone. Jacuzzi and restaurant are closed right now. There are no microwaves in the rooms, so you must walk to the lobby to heat something up. Lastly, it was LOUD. Other guests were talking and laughing very loudly until at least after midnight. Kept the 3 year old awake.

The inn at Morro bay looks nothing like their photos. Huge disappointment, we had an out dated, stained carpet okay moldy room. Nope! Went the lobby and wouldn't move until they gave us another room. That room came with millipedes and earwigs in the bed:(( it's been a week and still have not seen my refund.
Update- received refund. Thank you
Btw, the people that work there are very nice:)
