I reserved a deluxe King Suit for 5 days for my anniversary. The place was perfect. Absolutely perfect. Our room had a balcony with a stunning view of the rock. We sat on it drinking coffee and talking for hours.
The hotel is centrally. We made the .9 mile walk to the rock a couple of times a day. We got in our car once to go to the grocery store and once so my husband could bring his surfboard to go surfing at the rock.
The hotel staff was incredible. Lisa at the front desk gave us great tips on places to go. The room was clean and very comfortable. With a refrigerator and coffee maker

The Mr. & I spent the weekend here and had the BEST location! We were in walking distance from the Embarcadero, all the shops, restaurants, activities, etc. The wharf had activities like whale watching tours, kayak renting, and lots of public access to watch the many otters hanging out and playing.
The room was very spacious and smelled clean. The length of stay was not long enough to have daily cleaning, which was perfect, especially during COVID. I didn't have to worry about other people in my personal space. We were next to the office and vending machines. There was also a little

We love this place. I messed up my online reservation because we don't travel much and I accidentally booked two queens and no balcony when I wanted a king with balcony. The front desk was able to move us with no hassle even though it was totally my fault. Great customer service, clean, comfortable, and convenient. If you haven't stayed waterfront in Morro though be ready for the sea lions barking all night! The rest of the town shuts down but they don't lol.

Staff was not really that helpful, and I was given a really crappy room that had pretty worn out furniture. Shower was pretty crappy and did not function as properly. Breakfast was a joke, and was literally the smallest juice box and the grossest prepackaged muffin. Don't recommend this place unless you like rude staff and crappy stays near the bay. STAY AWAY!!

Excellent location and very clean. The bathrooms are very outdated and need a remodel badly.
We also had the unfortunate encounter with a very rude and disrespectful desk clerk named Connie who couldn't handle a simple reservation miscommunication between Booking.com and the hotel. We ended up standing outside in the cold for 45 minutes while she called her manager repeatedly and spoke to me in a very demeaning way. This woman shouldn't be allowed to deal with customers.

This is an ok hotel but I need to deduct a couple stars ....a AAA discount does not get you what you think you book online but more of an expedia room in the second building across the street...so that view of the rock looks a bit different than what they show on their website. Also requested top floor to no avail. Furniture is dated and phone plugs at the base of lamp are so worn out they no longer work. So you need to find the wall plug behind the nightstand...but first unplug the alarm clock which starts to beep due to low battery until dismantled... Lamp on coffee table also not working.

We booked a Deluxe King Bay View room #114 which was on the ground floor of the West building. The 400 square foot room was spacious, with a desk, chair, dresser with large flat tv, breakfast table with two padded barrel chairs, a comfortable lounger with ottoman, king bed and an LED type fireplace in the main room. The controls for the fireplace are matte black and hard to find, but they control the heat (goes up to 82 degrees), the color and has a sleep timer. There is only one heating element, so one would have to turn on the regular room heater if super chilly. Also provided is a tower-style

Booked a room here because it was our first time to Hearst Castle. Morro Bay is about 34 mi from Hearst Castle. I liked that our room was ready at 1:20 or so even though the website said checkin was at 3pm. We'd been on the toad a few hrs and I wanted to just "land" and take a quick nap. So glad the receptionist didn't make a big deal. Room was fine. Smelled of bleach , I guess that subsided as I didn't smell it in the mrng. The complimentary continental is nice. It gives you a little something so that you're not getting on the road on a empty stomach.

I took my family who was visiting for Thanksgiving up Highway 1 while always looking for an excuse to escape to the serene town of Morro Bay. I had found this little family-owned inn online and am so thankful. Upon our late night check-in, Melanie was so welcoming and still smiling with plenty of tips on what to see in the area. Since it was a chilly night, she looked into finding us a room with a fireplace, which remained only available to king bed rooms--unfortunately not doable given my group of four.
