Christine graduated from Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School in 2011. She is known around The Hive as having the most upbeat and bubbly personality. There's no way you cannot get along with this girl! Christine takes precision cutting to the next level, taking her time, and making sure everything is PERFECT.
Brittany has been styling hair since graduating from the Paul Mitchell Academy in 2012. She has made a name for herself at The Hive with her balayage and haircutting skills. Brittany's warm personality, attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction are just some of her great qualities.

My partner and I just had our hair cut by Danielle this week. We are thrilled with how our cuts came out!! Danielle has a great eye and technical skills. The Hive was clean, socially distanced and for those still adjusting to being out…masks are required for everyone…so you will feel safe. We look forward to our next appointments!! Thank you🙂

I've had my hair cut by 3 different stylists here and each time was incredible! Super clean and very professional. Christine cut my hair today (after not having my hair cut for almost a year!) and she did such a beautiful job. It can be hard to trust somebody you don't know to cut your hair, but she exceeded my expectations and I will absolutely be going back to her. Thank you again!

I sat on this review for awhile because I didn't want to give such negative feedback but this was my experience. Booked an appointment for the first time at the East Rock location. Arrived 15 minutes early and got my hair washed right away. I booked an appointment at the Hive because they use Aveda products but they didn't use any Aveda products to wash/condition my hair, which was super disappointing. The hairdresser only gave herself 30 minutes to wash, cut and style my hair. She rushed the appoinent and if I hadn't arrived early I can only imagine how rushed she would have been. My hair was

I researched hair salons for months before finally settling on The Hive. Yelp & Google reviews all averaged an incredible average of 5 stars. I called to make an appointment over the phone and was greeted warmly by the receptionist. I told her that I was in search of a hair stylist who was "a precision cutter". I have had hopes in new hair stylists and had been let down before. Nothing is worse then a bad hair cut and having to wait months/years to grow it back out. She first informed me that they had two locations. I told her I would prefer the Whitney Avenue location being that it was closer

The stylists and owners here are amazing. I have difficult hair to cut because it is so straight so it doesn't lend itself to mask mistakes and you can see minor imperfections in the cut. I have been seeing Dan for the past couple of years for haircuts, and he does a great job. Always delivers and never over-sells services or products. And there are 2 convenient locations!
